Maybe the people who say TM should be boycotted or players shouldn't play for TM now or even not go to WC, don't mean that by doing so the government would be hurt.
Maybe they're thinking, how can you represent a government (when government decides who the coach is, who the selected players are, where you have your camp, which teams/countries you're not allowed to play against, and when government officials "escort" you the entire time, then you're working for and representing the government a bit too and not only the country) that's doing what they're doing to the people right now.
If people risk their life and go to the streets to protest, if some famous people risk all what they have but at very least voice their support of the people on social media (and get arrested for it or their properties confiscated), then our multi-millionaire players can also show dinner solidarity.
Heck, go and play the game, but why do you let three government dictate how you behave while you don't even live in Iran? Remember the support of players in the Asian cup for "jonbeshe sabz” (let me not voice my opinion shit that right now)?!?!? That's the difference between men and boys. That's the difference between risking a lot for a greater good/goal than what unfortunately most people suffer from: everyone wants freedom, equality, good ethics and morals but they don't want them to cost them anything. Heck most people don't want it to be an inconvenience of it means having to pay for it, missing a meal for it, missing your favorite tv show or sport club.
When ever you're not prepare to die when fighting someone who's prepared to kill you, you will always lose. So don't half-a££ it and don't be a hypocrite. Either admit that the price is too high for you and your not willing to pay/risk it or stop whining about it and try to rationalize/justify why it shouldn't cause you want inconvenience.
