ACL could catch European level little by little
Until the region spends like this on youth players and waits patiently (5-10 years minimum) then this won't really pay off.

KSA can spend much more and much longer than these countries.
Their local who will train with or play against will progress. Same for our ACL teams if we play the correct players

Indonesia has passion, so do many countries.
Strategic spending is what is required.
I honestly don't care because with the spending Saudi does, they should be miles ahead of us in terms of football.

KSA has passion and much more money than anyone and a decent level.
China has more passion and interest but nothing compared to historic place like Iran or ksa

And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Saudi is doing that to promote their league, make their country more visible etc. They want to host the World Cup 2030 and they need publicity leading to that. Them getting the World Cup is good for me personally because I live in Europe and the times of the games would be similar to the Qatar World Cup and the World Cup being in Winter is also nice

Soft Power is the goal for most Govts. to promote their country. South Korea uses K-Pop and K-Drama for Soft Power.
Sports is big Soft Power Tool.

There are a lot of recent news articles about corruption charges against the Chinese people who are associated with football in China. I don't know if these allegations are true, or maybe they're being scapegoated. It seems that there have been many sketchy things going on inside China for a long time that brought down their football. China has huge potential, but domestic issues are big obstacles for them.

K-Pop and K-Drama began to be made long before people outside Korea began to watch and listen to them. The main reason for the spread of K-Pop and K-Drama is because of the increase in the young Koreans studying abroad. They introduced their friends in the universities to Korean media. I know some non-Koreans who got introduced that way. And YouTube made it easier for people outside Korea to watch Korean media.
I remember a YouTube channel that assumed that the Koreans began to adapt Western culture to make their entertainment acceptable to the West. In reality, Western culture was introduced and became popular to the Koreans decades and decades before the non-Koreans began to listen/watch K-Pop and K-Drama. And Korean culture began to be influenced by Western culture a long time ago. This influence increased when the US soldiers arrived in Korea during the 1950s. No Korean expected K-Pop and K-Drama to ever be watched outside their country at that time.
