Putting aside the fact that I am asking a very biased group of individuals—there has been quite a bit of movement online (petitions, commentary in the media, etc.) around banning TM from participating in the world cup. Where do you stand? Are you for or against banning TM from the world cup?

If banning actually did something positive for the people then it would be worth it to consider but the reality is banning TM only hurts the movement everyone is supporting and the players itself.
Iranians in Iran are trying to have their voices heard…..the WC is the biggest platform in the world to have that happen with hundreds of millions watching. That said taking TM out of the World Cup only hurts the people and is a win for the mullahs.
