I must say, France dominated the whole match and created many more scoring opportunities. On this game alone, I believe France would have been more deserving winners. Materazzi no doubt provoked Zidane, most probably some racial comment, but there was no excusing what Zizou did and he deserved to be sent off.

Ultimately, it was a shame to have a World Cup final decided by penalties, it could have gone either way and shoot-outs are a real lottery. France were very unlucky tonight, although they exceeded all expectations to get this far.
