I have to pick Zidane since he's been awesome this WC especially when you take into account his age.

it's amazing, just 2 months ago, practically every body on the planet earth thought that this world cup would be ronaldinho's, but he turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the tournament!

but frankly, the world didn't expect much from us. from their viewpoint, we could have been a surprise team, but we failed.

Cannavaro, no doubt about it.

Here the reasons:

1. He played the best game by a defender I've ever seen in a world cup against Germany (JUST AWESOME!!!)

2. Unlike the Contenders (Zizou, Viera, Klose, Pirlo, Miguel) he played consistend and on a high level in every game!

3. He's the true leader of his team and this way he makes his teammates better!

2nd place Zizou (came out strong after first round), 3rd place Klose (best striker of the tournament but nearly unvisible against italy (CANNAVARO)
