whatever matterazzi said EYWALL zidane deserves it, u all blame materazzi but hey, doesnt matter hes a good footballer, zidane is just another arab at the end of the day
What did Zidane start?! They were just saying some things to eachother and Zidane was just laughing and just walked away before that SOB made a horrible comment (obviously).

Like I said, Zidane himself az hameyeh ma behtar miduneh that it's the WC final and his last match and he'd never do such a thing if Matarazzi hadn't made an aweful comment!

If it was something like "You and your team suck" or something like that, I'm sure that Zidane wouldn't do anything and would just walk away (as he knows that animal's dirty style and I bet he hears such comments dozens of times in a game).

But I'm 99% sure that it was a horrible comment (about Zidane's mother/son/religion/background etc), otherwise Zidane wouldn't have never done such a thing just a couple of minutes before the end of the game.

Sometimes gheyrat and pride are much more important than whatever football match! I applaude Zidane for what he did.

He's a true warrior in my books!

And the remark about him being "just another Arab at the end of the day" was just nonsense. Surely hadn't expected that from you...

Me myself was/am an Italy supporter and after Iran and Argentina they were my favorite team, with France coming at the 4th place. But no matter who you support, you have to be fair. You surely can't support such dirty actions from Matarazzi.
You may say that we don't know what exactly happened, but indirectly we do!
Cause again: Zidane wouldn't have never done such a thing if it was just another "You suck"-comment...
Persian Pride running through my veins!

I was watching the game where all the italians were watching it and after zidane got the red card some guy yelled "that dirty muslim son of a b.i.t.c.h got what he deserved"
I was pretty pissed not cuz I am a "muslim", cuz I don't really care about islam, but rather cuz of the racism..for a moment I just felt the urgent need to punch the guy right in the face, but there was police around, and about 3000 other italian animals. so I decided not to ruin their day by kicking all their sorry azzes.

I was happy Italy won, of course.

But seeing a legend like zidane leave like that, it ruined most of the celebrations for me.

              http://soccer.nbcsports.com/2016/07/...-at-world-cup/

The match was level at 1-1, and nothing appeared to be the deciding factor between two teams. That is until Zinedine Zidane created arguably the biggest controversy in World Cup final history.

Ten years have since rolled on, but now, Marco Materazzi — the Italian defender that was on the receiving end of the infamous head butt at the 2006 World Cup final in Germany — has clarified the comments he made leading up to the physical altercation; kind of.

As you can see in the video above and what was also seen in live action during the match, the two players appeared to exchange words in the second extra time session.

While various reports over the years have attempted to decipher what was said, Materazzi admitted to speaking about Zidane’s sister, despite not providing the context.

“What I said was stupid,” Materazzi said. “But it didn’t deserve that reaction. You would hear stronger words said on the streets of Naples, or Milan, or Paris, much more serious things.

“My mother died when I was 15, so I would never have insulted his. I spoke about his sister.”

Ultimately, France went on to lose in the penalty shootout following Zidane’s straight red card in the 110th minute. That sequence turned out to be the final moment of the Frenchman’s professional playing career.
