But what Zidane did (or Totti's spit) will be punished even if it is after the game.

The decison for the golden ball was made on half time which zidan won and the red card has got nothing to do with his winning otherwise the FIFA breaking it own bloody rule. How stupid!!!

and goals scored with hand balls are not counted and cards are awarded to the perp which they were not in Maradonas case. His action also drastically changed the game.

The fifa rule is obviously flawed in this regard, and is being exploited in order to target the victim in this case zidane. The rule should be rewritten in my opinion.

An intentional handball is not a "simple handball". Especially one that results in an important World Cup goal. Using your hand like that, with the blatant intention of fooling the officials is fully deserving of a red card.

Intentional use of the hand merits a yellow card even in the middle of the field when the ball is far from the net. Handball is not an immoral conduct, even if you change the result. and if ref doesn't see it, FIFA does not take any actions after the game to change the result or punish the player.

But what Zidane did, is considered inethical. even if ref doesn't see it during the game, Fifa still ban the player after the game even if 10 days has passed and they found out then! you see my point.

So you can't compare those two actions with eachother.

Also, the laws were milder in that time, so I think Maradona wouldn't get any card then. I might be mistaking though. we can confirm this with Smanhoobi and the older ones who remember those games.
