Guys Mazeratti as I call him had no fault in this, he was just trash talking as players in ALL sports do ALL the damn time!!! Why are some you SO blind to see that I dont know!!! Anyways he had no idea that Zidanes mom was sick so it really wasnt a cheap shot...what Zidane did hurt Mazeratti PHYSICALLY and THAT was a cheap shot! Wow, i just saw the interview. Materazzi really is an animal and i hope something will be done about this.

The first two times the animal insulted Zidanes family, zidane wanted to run off and ignore it but the animal had to say it a third time. Anyone who says this is normal in soccer has got to be kidding.

I was over this situation but now that i know the truth i realise this is really bad on Materazzi, really really un professional. I hope Fifa takes action and makes an example out of him.

Great link..Thats exactly how Italy played the whole tournament...If it was not for diving and getting cheap penalities (like acting to get a penalty) like in the end of the Australia game, Italy would not be where they are now..Italy advanced through with pure luck...I guess all the acting they practiced did finally pay off..
I got news for Italy fans...Even though your team won the world cup, majority of the soccer fans still dont and wont have much respect for the team...France deserved to win the final game, but unfortunately it didnt happen..They played much better.....

I think Materazzi should and probably will be banned from football for a while. The whole point of the World Cup was Fifa Fair Play and to me this was the lowest act of the whole cup. I hope an example is made of this guy and he is banned from football for 12-18 months. If drug users can be banned so should unsportsmen like players.

With all respect, Italy made it to the finals in a cheap way. It all started with
the PK against Australia. Then against Ukraine they were dominated the second half, and were very very LUCKY not to concede any goal. Yes the score was 3-0
but that score doesn't say anything about how the Italians played. Like the Croatia '98 game of TM, we lost 2-0 but we owned them. Only the semi-final
was played decent by the Italians. Italians always seem to get away playing like shit. Have you seen PSV-AC Milan in CL of season 04-05. It breaks your heart watching it as a PSV fan, Milan got owned big time in the home and away game. Yet again I'm really a neutral fan, and I think Italy just didn't deserve this cup and neither did France. The ones who really deserved to be in the final were Argentine, Germany and Mexico. Even Ghana, although it's not realistic you cannot deny that they have entertained us with their style!
