I think R. Carlos wouldnt be in my top 20.....You can only live soo long on one kick. I know he has scored other frees, but no where near as consistently as the above mentioned.

Perhaps one of the best FK-takers of the last decade is Piere van Hooijdonk.
Actually, one of the most beautiful (if not, the most) FK I've seen in my life was his game with Feynoord against Freiburg if I'm not mistaking.
The ball was somewhere near the corner flag and he curled it like crazy into the top corner of the goal

lol... baba all van hooijdonk can do is head and take free kicks... I saw many of his games w/ fenerbahce as my turkish friend was obsessed with that club. He didnt have speed or ball control, and was benched later on in the season.

I just think he doesnt take them cause everytime he does he kicks the ball into the ground. I havent seen a good free kick from him in years.

I think it was players like him that caused Brazil to do so crap. Gilberto played soo much better then him.

im really suprised u both name ronaldinho, the guy takes all the freekicks and never! scores, mayb one or two but he surely doesnt belong in such list..

pirlo scores more freekicks then him and also totti..

there is also this dutch/turkish guy, Yildirim, he is a freekick master, but the rest of his game isnt all that..

Arre baba, come on guys Beckham is the master of the free-kick regardless of how overrated he may be as a player...dont get me wrong Juninho is great too but Becks scores many goals in International AND club level, he's definetly the top man in my opinion.
