Btw. Its a shame they have to play against psv because i like arsenal 2 but i always root for the dutch teams.
The power of now holds greater than the promise of tomorrow.
That is why Arsenal's lack of experience will make them go trophyless again this season I'm afraid.
I'm sorry guys, over-working kids and then purely relying on hope that they remain at the club make a supposedly unbeatable team atleast 3-4 seasons down the road without even thinking that clubs in Spain and Italy and even within England are looking and judging seems a bit too optimistic and utopian.
Arsenal's brutally obvious weaknesses at set-pieces, and inexperience cost them again. Looking back at the side that was unbeaten in 2003/04 and won the double in 01/02. Campbell, Viera, Keown, Bergkamp, Lauren, Ashley Cole, Pires, Seaman....
please tell me how is today's Arsenal better than that side of the early 2000s that was playing nearly the same way and actually winning trophies ??
Thierry Henry will play no further part in Arsenal's campaign.
The France striker has suffered an injury-plagued season, with Henry having returned from World Cup duty at less than full fitness.
He returned to action for Arsenal against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday, but his substitute appearance at Emirates Stadium came at a cost as he damaged groin and stomach muscles.
Henry was sent for a scan and the results have prompted the club to draw a line under his season.
Arsenal bowed out of the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League this month and with the Premiership effectively out of reach, manager Arsene Wenger has opted not to take any risks with Henry.
"Thierry Henry will be out for a minimum of three months," said Wenger.
"Unfortunately this means he will now miss the rest of this season both domestically and internationally, but we are confident that he will be ready for the start of next season."
I got this email containing this (below) i would like to add these are not my words or feelings towards Arsenal
Police have confirmed that all roads around Ashburton Grove and Finsbury
Park will be closed tomorrow, as Arsenal will be embarking on an open
top bus tour of the area.
The tour is to celebrate the special trophy that FIFA have this morning
confirmed has been awarded to Arsenal.
Sepp Blatter confirmed:
"We at FIFA are delighted to award Arsenal with this trophy in
recognition of their outstanding achievement of being the first ever
club playing in a major European league to finish their season by 7th
March. This is especially important as most of their first team squad
have GCSE exams in June, so the early finish to the season allows them
extra time to revise".
Arsene Wenger, resplendent with a large bag of sweets and pictures of
some puppies he hopes to persuade his team to join him in seeing, was
delighted that his achievement of losing every major game he has played
in the last month has been recognised.
"Its not easy doing the double over the league leaders and still being
20 points off the pace" he said.
It is rumoured that he will use this unexpected free time to visit more
local schools.
