Reyes says Arsenal career is over!

Arsenal need him, that left side is in need of quality players. He's their best player on that wing. It's disappointing he wants to leave, and I find it wrong to publically ask, but he has. But he's a quality player and he'll be hard to replace.

If Athletico Madrid go for it, I wishhhhhhhh, they do a swap. Reyes for Petrov and cash. Petrov is lethal left footer, amazing to watch. But I doubt Athletico would let him go.

Viera is part of Arsenal's history, he is one of Arsenal's legends and he stayed so long in Arsenal, got so many trophies with them, he was the idendity of Arsenal, and when he left Arsenal he didn't bash the team this way. Now a guy like Reyes who stayed only two and a half season during which he had great periods but was not consistent during the previous year's season, last year apart from his CL impressive games (eventhough most of the Arsenal platers where even more impressive in those games) and was averge in the league matches, refuses to play the CL qualifier against Dynamo Zagreb because this could cpomplicate a possible move to Real Madrid. What the hell is this? What kind of player would say that he doesn't like the life in London thus wants to leave and doesn't want to play the CL games because otherwise he won't be eligible for CL if he went to another club? Only a unprofessional player would do something like that, unprofessional and c*cky...

Secondly i am an Iranian and i know the meaning of Gheyrat so u dont need to tell me the definition. That word fits in perfectly with my point i am trying to make, if u dont agree with it then im sorry man but that is the word i chose to use.

Now as for the Vieira situation it was never him that wanted to leave, Arsenal gave him an option which to him felt like they wanted him to go so he left. No one wants to be at a club where u dont feel wanted.

Reyes is a favourite at Arsenal he gets games and it was thanx to Wenger that he was selected for the Spain squad and then he goes behind Arsenals back and says he wants to go to Real. There is nothing wrong with wanting a transfer..its the manor in which he approached it that is wrong.

Also u dont need to show us what Reyes has done in his few years there because we have all seen it. It doesnt make him any better then any one else at Arsenal. To me he is not even in the top players of the team. He is great yes but he has a lot left to go b4 u can actually think a few good moves will make him a legend.

Legends in this world are Henry, Buffon, Zidane, Ronaldo, Gerrard. Thes ppl can go anywhere in the world yet they remain at the place that brought them up. I have major respect for that.

It's not just playing a few games scoring a few goals that make you a legend in a club, also it is a question of being proud of your club, loving your club, but when a player stays a season and a half in a club and already feels like living, then signs a 5 ( or six year i can't remember...anyone?) contract and then the next year again he tries to "sneak" out of his team by getting contacts with madrid (athletico and Real) and then says that he is ready to go anywhere in spain as long as he doesn't stay in Arsenal, i think he is not worth the Arsenal Shirt.

Naturally players leave clubs and all that stuff but its the manner in which he is going about it that i as an Arsenal fan do not appreciate.

First of all Wenger had major faith in him as he is the record Arsenal signing (17Million Pounds) and what happens soon after he is purchased?? He is pranked by a radio station claiming they are Real Madrid and he says he would leave now if he could. Now we come to the current saga where he has not gone about this wanted transfer civilly, he has gone around in the press saying i dont want to be here, i hate London.....etc etc.

This is not the way to go about a transfer, all u need to do is put in a transfer request, it is really hard for clubs to keep players that dont want to be around but they shouldnt go around making a full of themselves the way he has.

The thing is in my post i didn't criticise the player but the caracter and the way he is acting lately about his probable transfer from Arsenal. If you don't see the difference between wanting to leave a club, and doing it the way he is doing it, then i think the discussion is useless... but i still think that Reyes just prooved that he is a very unprofessional and versatile player, you don't sign a 5 year long contract to leave the next year...
