If you don't know who was G. Facchetti, you must read about International Soccer more often. He was the best left defenceman and Captain of Italian National Team in 1970s. he took Italian Team to the world Cup in 1970 and he was the President of Intermilan Club.

well, with your description, you cant really blame me for not knowing...

you say he was ONE OF the best, not THE BEST, ONE OF the best, ITALIAN, so not in the world, not in the eastern hemesphere, not in europe, but in ITALY, LEFT DEFENSMEN, so not one of the best players in italy, not one of the best defender in italy, but one of the best left defenders in italy, in 1970, so not of all time, not in the 1970's, but IN 1970.

How can you expect me to know this guy?

A true Nerazzuri, one of the principle cogs in the famous catenaccio defensive tactics used by Italians at that time, Faccheti played throughout his entire career at Inter Milan, and played in three World Cups and a European Championship throughout the 1960s and 1970s.

                              FORZA FACCHETI...FORZA INTER
