Roy kean's contract was cancelled by mutual consent (allegedly) after his outburst against ManU players.
A club statement said that it was by mutual agreement, but I think it is trying to minimise and put a gloss over the damage caused by his improper and out of turn interference into the manager's job.
Bye bye to a hooligan who caused numerous injuries to other players, drank to excess on weekends and rounded it off with a 'nice punch up' as he put it.
cmon fsec, i mean im not the biggest roy keane fan myself but he was a great player. I mean the semi final in 99 ( i think) against Juventus is reason enough to remember him as a great player. He is the reason got in to the final period.
The obscure we see eventually. The completely obvious, it seems, takes longer. ~Edward R. Murrow

exactly..
it's time for this guy to check in a rehab clinic.. in a way I feel sorry for Kean for making a fool out of himself in front of the whole world ..
oh well, to hell with him..

Being a good player does not entitle you to deliberately go out and cause a fight. His arrogance and viokence were well known and the game could well do without these traits.
He deliberately set out to injure players. Just ask Man City what he did to Alfie Haaland. When at Forest he returned to Cobh every Saturday night for a 'drink with the lads, a kebab and a good punch up'. Being famous and rich had made him so arrogant that he even tried to hold the Irish National Tema to ansom during WC02. His fights and intimidations of referees had become an embarrasment for ManU.
Anyway he had reached a stage that he had forgotten who he was, just a plauer and the end came when he was refused entry to the training ground where the reserves were having a game.
