Congradulation for Succes of Iran's Wrestling teams

In the wrestling World championship that was held in China, Iran wrestling team (Free style) came second after Russia. This is a huge success, considering all the teams from former soviet union, cuba, korea, Mongolia, etc. were there.

Iran in Free style got 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 Bronzes and with 48 points stood behind Russia the earned the first place with 51 points. United States came thrid.

In Greco Roman (Faragni) Iran did amazing as well. Iran came fifth with one gold and one Bronze.
This is a huge success for the Iran's Wrestling in both Free Style and Specially Greco Roman.

I would like to congradulate our "pahlevans" (Sorrean and Morad Mohammady sepcially for their gold medal) for their valiant effort. I also would like to thank the coaching staff in particular Mr. Barzegar and Mr. Bana as the head coachs of respective teams. Iran was a force in Free style in the past and success of the Free style although valuable isn't too shocking. Yet, Mr. Bana the head coach of the Grecoo Roman team has done a miracle. For those familiar with Wrestling, they realize what a gold and Bronze and a fifth in the world in Grecoo Roman World Championship means. In the past Iran wasn't a factor in Greco Roman at all, but now thanks to MR. Bana's effort and talent of Iranian wrestlers, we are a force in Greco Roman as well.

Recent success in Iran's sport, Haddadi's respectable finish in track of field world championship with Asian team, successes of our youth Volleyball team, and now this clearly shows with proper planning and trust to ourselves, Iranians have a lot to say at the world stage.

Sorry if this is not posted in the right forum, but looking at other forums, I couldn't find a more appropriate place.
"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."
Afshin Ghotbi ( Former TM Head Coach)

Nasser Hejazi was the Takhti of our football.

ps. Ali jaan, your post will probably be moved by the mods since it's not football/soccer related, but thank you for the post

You are welcome dadash. You are probably right, but I thought this is the high traffic forum and I wanted people to see it. These days not many good news you hear from/about Iran. I savored rare opportunities of good news from/about Iran.

Great news, I'll be happy as long as we come ahead of those whinning jealous americans. They can never fade us in wrestling no matter how much hormone and steriods they use

p.s. WE SHOULD DO BETTER AND GET FIRST PLACE!

This was the result of having a great head of a federation who knows about managment.

The same guy who put Iran's Volleyball on the world stage now is going to do
the same for our national sport.

Very good point Sarbaz jaan. I should have mentioned Yazdani Khorram I think his name is.

Not good enough. We should always come first in wrestling. Good for the team for at least beating America though.
