against madrid they played 11 behind the ball in the first half. even the commentator and goal.com reporter said it. we could not hold on to possession LOL? they hardly touched the ball in the first half. how can you constantly created meaningful attacks when 11 players are closing passing angles? we did well considering how they went for the draw. thats the difference between us and you, teams go for draws against us and wins against you.
with that said, you guys were still able to score in the first half with them playing defensive. even if a team is playing with all 11 playing defensive it shouldn't cause too many problems when you have a team with the kind of depth madrid has. imo 7 madrid players can play keep away from all 11 almeria players. the way you create meaningful attacks is first you keep pocession, play sideline to sideline, drawing pressure and then releasing pressure, eventually the team will step up allowing space for you to attack. timing your attacks is key. another thing you do is mix up your play, take longs shots, play longs balls, dribble, play short 1-2s, make your play unpredictable so that they feel the need to step up to players and not just sit back.
if your trying to show madrid's superiority through your "teams go for the draw against us" statement then your a little misguided. Teams go for the win against us not because we are not superior but because of the style of football that we play. Barca plays extremely attack minded football often leaving our defence vulnerable to fast break goal opportunities. your statement doesn't validate madrid being a better team then barca, its just tactical.VISCA EL BARCA

Messi scolded for spitting at player
Barcelona striker Lionel Messi has faced his first reprimand for appearing to have spat at a player during Barca's 4-1 win at Malaga.
Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola rebuked his Argentine superstar at a Monday news conference ahead of a Champions League match against Basel.
"It is not right that these sorts of things happen," AFP quoted Guardiola as saying.
Messi, who has never been criticized during his short and successful soccer career, seemed to have spat in the direction of Malaga midfielder Duda after the two exchanged words during Saturday's rain-soaked Spanish league match.
The 21-year-old scored one of Barcelona's four goals, helping his side reach the top of the table.

Originally posted by milad View Postbarcelona was clearly trying to score a 6th, but they were unable to because almeria started playing defensively. and yes they do put 11 men behind the ball. saying otherwise just exposes the fact that you did not watch the first half today.
Btw, I find it hard to believe you kept watching a Barca game that had reached 5-0 by half time? Either way, do you really think Barca were so desperate for a 6th goal? They were playing with much less intensity, which is what common sense would dictate when you're leading by such a margin.Previously known as "IraqiFootball"

LOL after 11 consecutive wins, now Barca show their true face and draw. Give it a rest bro. You wish you could get "lucky 5-0 wins."
I'm dissapointed though. Guardiola should have started with a strong lineup and got the job done and then rested players in the second half. Anyway, Barcelona is the first team to qualify to the second stage.Previously known as "IraqiFootball"

and dont act like it was your B team. it was your A team. all of your starters played. i know eto, xavi, and messi got subbed in but pep always uses rotation policy, and getting subbed in still means they played... which is what saved you from a loss. you needed messiah to save you once again.
