just look at some of his saves.
he has always saved up in the most important games, namely the final against Arsenal, the 2 games against Chelsea, he saved 2 1on1 chances against drogba we all know its not easy.
and against man u he was always upto the task when they attacked.
        best goalkeeper for sure

he was a lot better this season.
but damn when I look at some of those sooties, like the one against liverpool wa a killer. we would have gone through and beat liverpool if that didnt happen.
            overall he's a good goalkeeper
I can make a video of casillas bloopers as well!

For 90% of the European countries, Valdez would be their starting goalie. But Spain just has too many great goalies ... that's why he doesn't get his chance there. I'd only take Casillas, Buffon and Cech over him ... but even then, Valdez is so integral to Barca, it wouldn't be the same team without him.

                  Cech sucks now.
There are many better ones than Valdez but problem is Barca attack so much, the defense and goalkeeper are not so busy as they are in other teams like Real Madrid who made Casillas who he is today.
Valdez used to be catastrophic but this season he's shown some promise and experience, he's saved us a couple of times, I think he's the best goalkeeper in 1on1 situations.
I would def. keep him for next season, gk is not our weakest link at the moment.
                  striker, left back are.

Totally agree about the 1 on 1 part. Valdez is criticized on crosses, but he's not horrendous at it.

Yes, esp. now that Man U seem to be real interested in Eto'o. I don't want Ibrahmovic though. Is it me or there just isn't too many good strikers in the WORLD ... I mean, I'd really want us to get David Villa, or perhaps Torres, Aguerro, and a few others out there .... but no one really makes my mouth water like the last generation of strikers (i.e. Batistuta, Romario, Klinsmann etc.).

Anyway, seems like we couldn't reach a deal with Valdez, but I'm not worried, we'll get him back: http://goal.com/en/news/12/spain/200...-to-agree-deal

Hleb is actually pretty good. problem is players find it difficult to adapt to barca's style.
henry no body doubts his skills when he joined barca but he had a very average season, he was not coordinated with the rest of the team but this season he's blended nicely and is one of the best.
Hleb in his first season and in the few matches he featured he was pretty good, fast skillful player, Im sure if he stays next season he will have a much better year like Henry.

                            ==============================================
Barcelona's Messi Unconcerned By Kaka & Cristiano Ronaldo Threat
‘El Mesias’ is not the least bit worried by the heavy reinforcements his arch rivals have made.

Lionel Messi has echoed his Barcelona team-mates’ sentiments, boldly proclaiming that he is not afraid of Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at Real Madrid.

Almost the entire Blaugrana squad have so far shown that they are not at all impressed by the near quarter-of-a-billion euros spent by Los Blancos to resurrect the Galacticos empire, and Messi was equally as nonchalant when asked about his rivals’ exorbitant outlay.

“I am with Barcelona and I worry only about my team,” Sport quoted him saying to reporters in Los Angeles, after a friendly game he was supposed to participate in between CONMEBOL Stars and the Rest of the World was cancelled by FIFA.

“We were spectacular last season and we hope that this term, we will be able to do the same, or at least repeat a little of what we achieved,” he added.

Despite already having a star-studded team, Messi affirmed that he wouldn’t mind the club bringing in a few high-profile signings of their own to beef up the squad.

“We were surprised by what we did last season but if players such as those that have been mentioned in the press arrive at the club to strengthen the team, it would be even better because it is important to be stronger,” he confessed.

“I hope [Javier] Mascherano can come and we can form a solid partnership. His qualities are always appreciated. The same goes for [Cesc] Fabregas. A good footballer like him who can contribute a lot is always welcome.”

Finally, the 22-year-old Argentine wizard looked forward to a tantalising showdown in the future between himself and Ronaldo, as well as the battle of the No.8's, Andres Iniesta and Kaka.

“I can say without doubt that Barcelona are the best team in the world,” he boomed. “We have great players and that’s why we won the treble.

“Kaka has a lot of quality, but he will have to adapt himself. I can also talk about Iniesta. Training with him is the best.

“But both Cristiano and Kaka are fantastic players who will give Madrid a lot of strength. ‘El Clasico’ is going to be unbelievable when it comes time to play, and yes - Barcelona will win again.”

We need a good striker, I want Villa, but something in my heart doesn't want him and Silva to leave Valencia, as La Liga is gravitating towards a "2 powerful team league," and that makes it less competitive. I think Henry and Etoo will be fine for next year, but after that, we need Bojan to really make some incredible progress or get someone (i.e. Torres )
