THURAM WAS A ****ING DISASTER AND WHY WERE WE PLAYING 3 BACK DEFENCE?! 4 BACK WITH ZAMBROTTA WOULD HAVE BEEN ALOT BETTER
Messi was never good. Such a time killer. I mean its awesome that he has great dribbling skills, but dribbling without thinking = wasting time. These players, e.g. Messi, C.Ronaldo, have never played a key role in an important match.

Iniesta was good, Ronaldinho and Deco made a few chances, Valdes was rubbish (as usual). Zambrotta > Oleguer..I don't know why Rijkaard didn't give Gianluca a chance. Others were aight.

Kuyt and Gerrard were awesome. They did run 90 minutes non-stop, and they deserved to go through tbh.

Valdes was rubbish? He saved our ass in the first half, even though he made that awfull mistake

I guess you didn't see Messi vs. Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last year.

              Barca are out.

Valencia and Madrid are the only hopes for Spain now.

There is something about Liverpool, they struggle in England and suddenly turn around and destroy Barca.

                  European tactics mate

You forget Rafa is Spanish and he has coached Valencia to (almost) CL glory and La Liga in the past.

European tactics arent that good when u play the physical English style teams week in week out

Barca were awful. As much as I wanted them to win they didn't deserve it.

I'm sorry to say it since he advocates good football but Rijkaard has the coaching abilities of an amateur coach. To line up 3-4-3 at Anfield was naive, to say the least.

When you know that they are going to defend high up the pitch , push their wide mf forward and give you no space on the ball then you can't get the ball out of your own half and you're left with 3 against their four as soon as they win the ball. That's certainly what happened first half with Riise and Gerrard causing them all the problems.

What was he thinking? And he managed to lose the first leg with the tactical switch which gaev the initiative to Liverpool at 1-1.

He punched two balls who came straight to him. Those balls are the easiest a goalie can catch, yet he couldn't hold them. Yes he saved the arse once (that was luck more than skill btw), he let it go twice.

Sebastian Veron, Gaizka Mendieta and Christian Vieri all played one great season for their teams (Lazio, Valencia and Lazio). The rest of their career were crap though. Messi is one of those, the difference being he played only one great match, not a season. Yeah he is young etc. Don't get me wrong, I hope he gets better, but his selfish and slow ronaldino-wannabe playstyle should change. He should get some pace and learn to look up and see his teammates and create opportunities.

I have watched them all. 100% British propaganda. My dad always tells me, if you wanna become famous, England is the best place for it. Har ki ye gooz too englis mide maroof mishe. Yeah he scores against Westham and Watford and Iran :P How about doing something when playing vs good teams like Arsenal or Chelsea? 1 goal against Chelsea is better than 100 goals against Westham.

I was really hoping Giuly would be starting and bring on Messi for last 20 min to be take it at Anfield. Giuly is a versatile player, pacy and was effective as well but not at the decisive level.

well said. He gets tired quickly though, maybe thats why he wasn't subbed in early.
