Deco: I'll stay if I'm needed
Deco says he has every intention of staying at Barcelona unless the club chooses to sell him.
The Portuguese playmaker's Nou Camp future looks increasingly doubtful after the signing of Thierry Henry. This may be further mitigated by the Spanish club's failure to win a trophy last season.
Reports have claimed that Deco could become surplus to requirements, with Henry and Yaya Toure close to completing moves.
But the Brazilian-born player, who has previously been linked with Chelsea, insists he has no intention of leaving Catalunya.
"I do not believe that Barcelona have decided on my exit, but if the club don't want me it will be necessary to find another solution," Deco told website juanjosecastillo.
"The press always increase the topic, but I believe that things have not changed and I will be able to stay at the club.
"This season was terrible for everyone because a Barcelona without trophies is a disaster."

According to a report in The Mirror, Barcelona's will now try to lure Cesc Fabregas away from Arsenal.
The Catalan giants have just signed Thierry Henry for around 24 million euros, a move that has created a certain degree of uncertainty around The Emirates.
Barcelona now seem ready to make the most of that and also prise Cesc Fabregas away from the Gunners, according to the Mirror.
Fabregas, a former Barcelona youth team player, was signed by Arsenal from right under their noses as they waited for him to turn 16, and Joan Laporta and Co. have always wanted to bring him back.
The player himself has shown a willingness to return, saying: "It is my dream to return to Barcelona, my childhood club, one day."
With Deco set to leave the club, and Arsenal amid uncertainty, the Barca bosses believe this is the moment to land him, and have prepared a 15 million pound offer (just over 22 million euros).
However, there will be very stiff competition, as Real Madrid are also keeping an eye on the situation, and are almost certain to make an aggressive offer if Barcelona get close.
Arsenal have sounded a 'hands off' warning in an attempt to ward off any such approaches, but the report suggests that unless Arsene Wenger stabilizes the club by committing to a new contract soon, the young midfielder will also want out.

Just to make it extremly short ill point out few reason for why I love FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona is more than a club. Its culture, spirit, honour and life. Its hope, respect, joy and living. Its not a commercial moneymachine. It's not a buy-2-success club. It's a club which not only gives the locales hope and joy. But also people around the world. A team that wants to give so much effort in order to make people enjoy watching them. To give kids something to dream of and about.
For over 101 years, Barca havnt had any sponsors on their shirts. All those millions of millions of millions, just by placing a sticker on their shirt. They didnt . Why? Cuz that would totally against all the things ive descriped above. As you might know, last year they got their very first sponsor on their shirt after 100 years, and that was Unicef. Instead of sucking money in, they give 8-10% of a specific part of their income to help poor children in the 2nd world.
They spend so much money and ressource on their own talents. They're working with so many help-organisations across the world.
The players salary and wages are based on bonuses. which means lowere salary. Cuz they know that a player should LOVE playing for this team, not only for the sake of money.
When there are problems internal, players will do anything to help each other. Even tho the media are desperate to make a headline about the oppesite.
This club is full of love, faith, hope, loyality, honour, history and ofcouse sportsmanship.
Not only they give joy through the game but also the humanity part is exactly what makes FC Barcelona so wonderfull.
Give me one reason to hate FC Barcelona.. 1 ..
FC Barcelona is indeed more than a football club.Visca Barca

Eric Abidal is already in Barcelona, and is set to complete his move to the Camp Nou club on Thursday.
The French international left back has made it abundantly clear that he wants to move to a bigger club, but Lyon had been unwilling to sell him except for a rather inflated price.
The French champions wanted 20 million euros, while Barcelona were unwilling to offer anything more than 12, causing negotiations to stall for a while.
However, Barca are keen to complete the bulk of their transfer business this week itself, and a fee of around 14-15m is close to being agreed.
Abidal has already been in Barcelona for over 24 hours now, officially to enjoy his vacations, but unofficially to wait for Barca and Lyon to reach an agreement so he can complete the formalities.
The signing will be confirmed tomorrow, following which the player will complete his medical and be presented, either in the evening, or on Friday morning.
Barcelona are confident that it is only a matter of time, as they have already allowed Gio van Bronckhorst to join Feyenoord on a free transfer.

Newcastle manager Sam Allardyce is looking to tie up a deal for Barcelona defender Edmilson after the player indicated he is willing to move to Tyneside.
Allardyce, chairman Freddy Shepherd's son Kenneth and European scout Paul Montgomery flew to Catalonia yesterday afternoon after Barca president Joan Laporte gave Newcastle permission to talk to the player.
The 30-year-old Brazilian World Cup winner, who can also play a midfield holding role, is currently sidelined after knee surgery and is likely to be out for between four and six months.
However, Allardyce is still keen on the player and the Magpies believe he could play in October or November.
He has a year left on his existing contract but Newcastle are confident they can land him for a nominal fee.
The club have inquired too, about striker Eidur Gudjohnsen's situation with Thierry Henry's arrival from Arsenal sparking fresh speculation his days at the Nou Camp could be numbered.
The Iceland international, who has also been linked with derby rivals Sunderland and Manchester United this summer, worked briefly under Allardyce at Bolton.
Newcastle currently have five senior forwards on the books - Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins, Mark Viduka, Shola Ameobi and Andy Carroll - but uncertainty over Owen and Martins, who both have get-out clauses in their contracts, has left the manager waiting anxiously to discover their plans.
However, Allardyce is hopeful of retaining both men as he closes in on fresh targets after capturing Viduka, Joey Barton and, in all but name, David Rozehnal, with Chelsea defender Geremi and Marseille skipper Habib Beye now in his sights.
Meanwhile, Allardyce is set to appoint England coach Steve Round as his number two. All
ardyce has been busily attempting to recruit his backroom staff since replacing Glenn Roeder at St James' Park, and finally appears to have made a breakthrough.
Round was England boss Steve McClaren's coach at Middlesbrough and later joined him in the international set-up shortly after Gareth Southgate's appointment at the Riverside Stadium.
Nigel Pearson, who took charge of the Magpies' final game of last season at Watford, was installed as Roeder's assistant following Kevin Bond's premature departure from St James' Park.
