alright! heres my line for the Manchester Utd Community Shield game

    it would be 4-4-2

    ----------------------------Cech------------------------------
    -----Johnson--------Terry---------Carvalho---------Cole-------
    -----SWP-----------Essien--------Lampard----------Malouda-----
    ---------------------Drogba-----Kalou---------------------------

    that line would defeat Manchester

the only little fault we have, is that if Paulo Ferreira could make it in time, i would start him instead of Johnson, or even Geremi

the players i would sub in are:

    Pizarro
    John Obi Mikel
Sinclair (for last 10 mins, or for extra time)

I hate penalties, such a rip off

but Congratulations to all ManU fans, both teams played a good game, Manu with a few more chances, Chelsea with a bit more possesion

w00t, Welcome to The Bridge Alex!

Brazil defender Alex has completed his free transfer move to Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven and is looking forward to life at Stamford Bridge.

The 25-year-old is confident he can adapt quickly to the Premier League and make an immediate impact. He has agreed a three-year deal with the Blues.
With John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho and Tal Ben Haim all competing at the back, Alex will have a fight on his hands to get into the team but he is confident he can force his way in quickly.

Alex, who represented Brazil at this summer's Copa America, told Chelsea TV: "I hope to start very soon and to do a good job at this wonderful club.

"I am happy for the opportunity Chelsea have given me. It's a wonderful club, I sometimes watch the games and I hear about the club and I hope everything goes well.

"I hope to adapt myself very quickly because Carvalho and (manager Jose) Mourinho will help me with the language barrier, and I hope I can start straight away and won't have any problem to be on the team."

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon feels the club now have genuine strength in depth at the back, having had to resort to playing Michael Essien and Paulo Ferreira in central defence because of injuries last season.

"It seems like a long time coming. We had it agreed a long time ago," he said.

"As you can see he has kept fit over the summer and he is a good addition to the squad. He has got to be our biggest player (in terms of height) and he could be quite intimidating.

"Last season we lost out I think, there was that crucial period where we had those injuries around there. I think we've definitely strengthened in that position. We're very well covered and with very good quality as well."

during the african nations cup, we will be missing key players, we're gonna have to do without Drogba, Essien, Mikel and Kalou

so during that 4 week time period, i think this would be the best lineup

                        ------------------------Cech-----------------------------
                        -----Ferreira------Terry--------Carvalho---------Cole-----
                        -----------Diarra-------Lampard--------Joe Cole----------

narrow 3-2 win, but a win is a win, as the announcer said, the scoreline doesnt reflect the play, because Chelsea had dominated most of the game and had great opportunities..

no appearances from Terry,Shevchenko or Ballack, but very very bright debut for Malouda and Pizarro, same with Sidwell who only came on around the finishing of the game but still performed well

                                Mourinho used a 4-4-2 formation,

                                ---------------------------Cech-----------------------------
                                -----Johnson-------Benhaim-----Carvalho--------Acole--------
                                --------------------------Essien-----------------------------
                                --------Wrightphilips-----------------------Malouda---------
                                -------------------------Lampard-------------------------
                                ---------------Kalou----------------Pizarro----------------

                                substitutions
                                Pizarro off Drogba on
                                Essien off Mikel on
                                Malouda off Sidwell on

Essien went off with a slight injury, hopefully its nothing very serious
Drogba wasnt fit to start, but came on for the last half hour

next match vs Reading on wednesday

btw: i never post during the games thats why im replying now, only after the game and at halftime
