Avram Grant warns Blues boss Scolari
Luiz Felipe Scolari's predecessor Avram Grant has warned him about his precarious position as manager at Stamford Bridge.
Despite leading the Blues to a Champions League final and second place in the Premier League, Grant was sacked at the end of the season.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is known to be very involved in the running of the club, a source of conflict between him and the charismatic Jose Mourinho, who was sacked despite winning two titles.
Grant said: "I like Scolari very much, as a person and coach. I wish him the best of luck.
"But he will soon realise he has his work cut out. He will do well to match what I did last season, and even that was not enough to keep me in the job."
Scolari will hold the first training session of the new season next week where he will introduce Deco to the rest of the team.
