ok well in that case I guess you just dont have very good football knowledge, or at least IMO anyways arent you the guy who always brings up analysts as a way of proving which players/teams are better since they are experts? Because im pretty sure 90-95% of analysts would say Cannavaro over Puyol hands down...anyways its ok to disagree.

im not in competition with you man, im 24 years old and have loved football since the first time i wathed it so i feel i have some knowledge of the game. I think Barca had a great season and won both the CL and the league, that is my major reason for thinking he is the best rite now.

There brother is my facts for deciding he is the best.

Factors that work against me are that Juve had less goals against but taking it all in, i decided on Puyol. Is that ok??

I simply put a picture of one of the defenders whom we are debating about and a big HONOR which he recently earned...what does have to do with my life? deep breath? Bro were not in competition we are here to discuss football with our hamvatans and im sorry if you think my posts are aggressive and you get offended at times...i'll try to be careful next time, but the ONLY reason I brought this up was because you straight up come out and say Puyol is MUCH better as if we are comparing Sattar Zareh to Roberto Carlos for example, but then when you go into detail you make it close but you choose Puyol...which is fine of course but the first post you made was just ridiculous and I found it to be biased, just pointing out my opinion on your observasion...is that ok with you? anyways you said Champions league was your decisive factor, well the WORLD CUP was mine...anyways moving on.

well most of you know that I support Spain and Hate Italy. But I don t think my answer will be bais since many of others are also picking puyol. I don t agree that Puyol is much better, but he definatly has the edge. Before the worldcup, Canavaro's name would not be among the top 5, but definatly top 10. Puyol has been named among the best 5 defenders since 2002-2003. He has been Spain's Best defender for years now. He let the Defendse of Barcelona for a whole season, not just a tournoment. They won La Liga and Champions League....Of course Canavaro let Italy to victory also. But I think that Puyol is a bit more aggressive, much better tackles, and consistancy. So I pick Puyol
