In all honesty, while United vs Roma will be a thriller, the most difficult match we have is away to Dynamo Kyiv.
The weather, the travelling time, the jet-lag, as well as the support them Ukrainians have will be a great factor. Last time United went there some years back, we could only manage a draw with them.
Its not only going to affect the team, but also how we play.
But we're Man United and we will take them all on !!!
United's greatest midfield enforcer...nope not exactly Keano but a former no.7 in BRYAN ROBSON. "Captain Marvel" as we called him. Imagine a calmer Roy Keane only harder.
The match that made Bryan Robson a legend. 1984 Cup Winners' Cup quarter-final: Manchester United 3-0 FC Barcelona (United win 3-2 on agg.)
The atmosphere that day in Old Trafford was something special and it really got to Maradona's Barcelona. The 1980s were United's darkest period where inconsistency ruined their chances many a times and they lost to Juve in the semis.
Good to be back, representing the Red Army of Mancunistan will always be my thing
Anderson, well I wouldnt exactly be sure he will be selected against Keano's Sunderland tomorrow. He had some problem with his ankle or hamstring during pre-season and that kept him out But I am confident he will play against Everton at most - Rooney will be back too from injury against them as well as Ronaldo.
At the moment, with all due respect to King Keano, I want us to rip the shreds out of them Mackems
That said, I am thrilled how Hargreaves and Nani have fit in well with the side. Hargreaves gives that extra bit of security in our half while Nani maybe a bit raw but he is one hell of a talent. His goal against Spurs !!!
Tevez ? Well he isnt at his best when all alone up front and facing two-three defenders at times, but I am confident that he just needs a goal to let them rivals feel scared shit of him. Just a bit more patience required for Tevez, but he will be a success I can guarantee it.
Him and Rooney can be Yorke & Cole of the Treble generation.
man u has a goodshot this yr.. as long as they stay clear of their daddys' ac milan wen rooney comes back ull be contenders
Hey, it was already a success reaching the semis last year, I am more than happy with winning back the Premiership It was only for our defensive injury crisis and Kaka screwing up our chances of what could have been a treble Although, I will still say the Premiership was our priority last year.
im pretty sure u wont win the league.. but the CL i think u guys can get
**4000 post**
Cant say much about the league. The year we won the Treble, we won just 3 games out of our first 9-10 in the Premiership but we recovered quite well
This year is different, with Chelsea's extra-cautious strangulating efficiency-driven snore-fest style of play, coupled with Liverpool becoming the Mediterraneanside rather than Merseyside, it will be difficult. Not to mention Man Citeh getting all rich and blue.
But make no mistake barkhurdaar, we will fight on all fronts regardless.
my cousin is realy a huge fan of man u so u can imagine the fights we had when milan man u was playin haha but ye i liked them cuz of him too but i really liked there 98 99 team and those sharp jerseys were very nice especially when beckham wore it haha
Actually the Sharp sponsor of the mid-1990s was the reason I started following United. My parents had an old Sharp tv for ages and being the impressionable kid in my early years, when Eric Cantona ruled the roost I found that Sharp sponsored United for over a decade and that got me going.
So one can say that I have been liking United for the greater part of the last 10 years via the odd TV commercial and the FIFA games on PC, although I only became a proper football fan in 2002/03
