first off lille's goal was a foul and united arent the english champions..well atleast not yet United's goal was great shows experiance and quick thinking

Cheeky cheeky freekick. The ref allowed it, and if I recall its not against the rule as a whistle isnt necessarily required for a freekick, which can be taken quickly.

Henry did it against Chelsea two seasons back if I recall, and its just quick thinking.

oh and Lille's goal was a foul, Vidic was pushed to the ground.

The ref was in perfect place to see the foul, for some of us it looked harsh, but Vidic was pushed (maybe a bit unintentionally but a push is a push) and to me that is a foul.

As far as free kick goes, perfectly within the rules, and teams need to be aware of that. Had Lille really walked out, I would have seen them dumped from Europe altogether.
