Eto'o Would Be Great, Shevchenko Greater - Berlusconi

Silvio Berlusconi admits that he would like to sign Samuel Eto'o, but insisted that the romantic that he was, would prefer to have Andriy Shevchenko back.

zoom - galleria "Eto'o would be absolutely delightful," he told the it Gazzetta dello Sport. "He is young, strong and a great goal-scorer.

"However, I prefer Sheva, because I am a romantic and he is like a son to me. Together, we have been through so many things.

"I have experienced important moments with his family, such as his father's heart operation, and the birth of his son, whom I'm a godfather to."

"A few days back, I spoke with adriano Galliani, and he told me that the probability of that happening was 80%," the Milan Supremo continued.

"Had that changed, I'm sure Galliani would have told me."

He also insisted that age or wages were unlikely to be an issue.

"Andriy is still young, he's got so many years of his career ahead of him," he insisted.

"Sheva has a great desire to return. There are no obstacles linked to his salary because he would be winning a similar fee as that of our top players.

"We will have to negotiate his transfer with Chelsea, each club looks at their own interests. I really believe Shevchenko would be an ideal player to complete our attacking line."

Chelsea Will Not Sell Drogba, Reveals Berlusconi

The Milan President confirmed the interest in the Blues striker, but admitted that the chances of signing him are slim since the English club is not interested in selling him.

zoom - galleria Didier Drogba will most likely remain a dream for the Rossoneri fans, following the revelation of President Silvio Berlusconi, who admitted that the Blues do not want to sell him.

"I put the money on the plate, but they are not selling him," declared Berlusconi when asked about the possibility of Drogba's arrival to Milan.

This means that another primary target for the Rossoneri will not be arriving after the failed transfers of Eto`o' and Ronaldinho, even though the Ivorian striker had declared earlier this week that he wants another big experience in a different league.

If the Drogba bid fails, Milan will try to lure Thierry Henry away from Arsenal, but will need to beat the competition of Barcelona, unless Eto`o' or Ronaldinho change their minds about moving to Italy

                Milan Give Up On Emerson

The Rossoneri do not want to negotiate with Real Madrid following the latest news that the Merengues approached Kaka's agent in the past days.

zoom - galleria Milan are set to target new midfielders to strengthen their team for next season, as former Juventus player Emerson does not feature any more in their plans.

This is mainly due to the fact that the Spanish giants, yet again, tried to hold private talks with Brazilian ace Kaka in order to lure him to Madrid.

This obviously did not please the Rossoneri directors who are now irritated with their Spanish counterparts and for this reason they are not ready to negotiate any player, incoming or outgoing, with the Merengues in the near future.

With Emerson out of the picture, the new names for the Milan midfield are Thiago Motta and Edmilson, both of Barcelona, with whom the Rossoneri have a much better rapport.

With the La Liga season now having ended, Galliani seems ready to step up his chase of Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o.
He suggested as much when asked if Milan would now make an approach for Ronaldinho.
"Do Milan want Ronaldinho? Our first objective is Eto’o," he said. "If it is financially possible, we will complete the move.
"If not, we will remain with the team that won the Champions League, plus Ronaldo [who will not be Cup tied next season]."
Galliani also spoke about Shevchenko’s possible return from Chelsea, with Berlusconi having suggested that he would prefer to have the Ukrainian back instead.
"Berlusconi and I agree on everything," he clarified. "It has been this way for the past 30 years. The roads are many, who knows..."
It is being suggested in Spain that at least one of Ronaldinho and Eto'o will be sold, once Thierry Henry completes his imminent move to Barcelona.

Cagliari striker David Suazo has signed for AC Milan having previously agreed to join rivals Inter, the European champions said on Tuesday.

'The Honduran striker will wear the shirt of Milan next season,' a statement said on the club's website

'The transfer from Cagliari to the Rossoneri went ahead after negotiations during the night.'
No financial details of the deal were announced but media said he had cost more than €14 million.
Cagliari president Massimo Cellino said last Wednesday that Inter had made a great buy in purchasing Suazo although the Italian champions never announced his signature.
The 27-year-old scored 14 league goals last season having developed into one of the most dangerous strikers in Italy.
In the 2005-06 season, he scored 22 Serie A goals for Cagliari, breaking the club record of 21 in a league season set by former Italian international Gigi Riva in 1970.
At the Italian Football Oscars in January this year, he shared the award for best foreign player in Serie A with AC Milan's Brazilian playmaker Kaka.
The transfer will add fuel to a simmering feud between the two Milan clubs, whose rivalry was intensified by Inter's league title and AC Milan's Champions League triumph last season.
Milan, who struggled for goals early on last season and brought in Ronaldo from Real Madrid in January, had said their main transfer target was Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o.

                                Excellent buy!!

I have been following Suazo for a long time and when I heard Inter is after him, I was very disappointed. but, wow! Milan is not sitting back! they stole him from Inter!

Suazo, if he is not better than Eto'o, he is not less. He is a much stronger player than Eto'o and he is damn deadly...

Great purchase. So I guess Milan is going after Ronaldinho now.
