Milan Priced Out Of Pato Race - Galliani
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has ruled out a move for Alexandre Pato.
Pato has a 15 million euro buy-out clause, one that clubs such as Chelsea and Inter Milan are more that willing to meet.
The Nerazzurri have gone a step further and are willing to dish out even more, supposedly spending the extra money on helping his relatives settle in Italy.
The developments seem to have ruled Milan out of the running, with Galliani stating that Milan cannot spend so much money on a young and unproven player.
"Ancelotti tells me that Pato is a very talented youngster, but he is young and I believe that you can’t spend that much on a player when it’s not certain he will become the new Kaka," he said.
This puts Chelsea and Inter in pole position, even though Pato himself wants to move to Milan and join compatriots Kaka and Ronaldo, the latter being an idol of his.
"To play alongside Ronaldo would be the best," he had told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "I often play as Milan on the Playstation, and there are so many Brazilians there."
Taking Galliani's comments, he might just have to restrict playing on behalf of Milan to the Playstation!
There will be questions, though, over why Milan are refusing to spend in the transfer market. Galliani has already admitted they were priced out of a move for Thierry Henry, and indicated that meeting Eto'o and Ronaldinho's wages could also be difficult.

We're The Best Team In The World, Boasts Berlusconi
The Milan President hailed his team as the number one in the world following Friday night's win in the European Super Cup at Montecarlo against Sevilla.
zoom - galleria Silvio Berlusconi was full of praise for his club and team following the umpteenth win in the European competitions by the Rossoneri which landed the 17th international trophy for Milan, even though the atmosphere was quite surreal at the Stade Louis II.
"The atmosphere of the team and in the dressing room was different, there wasn't that agonistic push which is normal for a final and this was evident in the first half," commented Berlusconi to the microphones of Rai at the end of the game.
"A colleague who dies is felt by everyone, especially the players," he continued. "It's fair to dedicate the win to him.
"We're satisfied with the win: we're the first team in the world for number of international trophies won, ahead of Boca Juniors and I'm the most successful President in the Milan history. And I'm happy about this."WE ARE THE UNDER DOGS

At the end of the ninety minutes, Carlo Ancelotti analyzed this way the draw with Fiorentina:
"I'm very satisfied with the commitment shown today by my players on the pitch. A draw against Fiorentina three days after the Super Cup final can occur. However, I must outline the will of the team, in the second half, to reach the three points. following a balanced first half, in the second period we pressed more, we attacked at a high rhythm, but we lacked lucidity. Maybe we could have tightened our marking on Mutu better, but in any case I noticed the great character of the team.
"My necessity is that the team players well,no matter how many strikers I field. I believe that with one attacker on the pitch we gain balance, but surely we will have occasions to field two attackers. Now we shall surely recover Ronaldo who will be available for the match against Siena. With regards to the away game at Kiev, I haven't yet decided whether to play him or not."WE ARE THE UNDER DOGS
