Well when you take as many shots as he does your bound to have a good game and score like this. Well done by him.

I hate him so much. When iverson drops 40-50-60, at least he gets assists. He helps his team. This guy is a ballhog who wouldnt have won anything without shaq and will never win anything again.

And how the hell do you get 0 assists?

OK, tonight, Allen Iverson had 38 points and 8 assists in Philly's win over the Warriors. If you count the free throws that wouldve been assists for AI if the player hadn't been fouled and the 3's from Korver he assisted, he attributed for approximatly 60 points, only 2 less than Kobe on the greatest game of his career. (Don't forget, he didn't have any assists).

Sure Kobe gets the fame for putting up a big number even though he put up 700 shots that game, but this is what Iverson does every night out on the court and contributes around that number all the time. Thats why he is the best player in basketball, and Kobe's a one-dimensional, overrated ballhog.

You forgot to mention that Kobe scored the 62 pts only playing 3 quarters!!! HE IS GOD!

Actually Dirk Novotski got excluded from Mavericks lineup due to 2 technical fouls.. Otherwise Kobe would not have his day..
unfortunatly MAVERICKS which is my best team lost

iverson is simply amazing because he gets half of his teams points wether through scoring or assists. kobe is also amazing. for those that say he takes 1000 shots... he only took 31 shots and he made 18 of them, 58% which is amazing. he doesnt have many assists this season because he just wants to be 1st in points per game (hes been trying to do this for a couple of years but t mac and iverson always beat him).

53 more points today + 5 assists, below his average but thats partly do to his teams poor shooting especially John Salmons' stupid ass (0 of 4 3 point shooting, 2 of 10 overall, 2 of 4 free throws), which is also why they lost by 3. They also lost because they chose to put it in Chris webber's hands in the last play. That is normally a good idea, but they haven't stopped Iverson for the whole half, so you need to give it to him. Also, Korver only took 2 3's the whole game, but thats because they had him covered.

:bs: :bs: You are kind of contradicting yourself here. You are saying Kobe is amazing, but then you say he is trying to league the league in scoring, but can't do it. Iverson, on the other hand, puts his team first, and STILL leads the league in scoring every year. If Iverson WANTED to lead the league in scoring, he would average AT LEAST 45 per game. So, you proved yourself why he is not amazing and why he is a selfish overrated player.

And before someone gives the championship arguement, Kobe has won all three of his with Shaq. Im not saying shaq is amazing, because the same goes with him. They are 2 very good players, and when you put them on the same team, they win. Shaq did good without kobe last year because he has dwayne wade, another very good player.
Iverson actually took his team to the finals BY HIMSELF in 2000-2001. Who did he have? George Lynch, Eric Snow, Aaron McKie, Raja Bell. Thats no all-star team.
