Teams qualified for Round of 16 [UEFA Champions League]

Below is a list of the 16 teams who finished either first or second in their respective Champions League groups. The first-place teams will be seeded in next Friday's draw and will be paired against a second-placed team from the unseeded pot.

The exceptions will be that no two teams from the same national association will be paired together, nor will two teams who were in the same group in the first phase of the competition.

Also, the eight third-placed teams will remain in Europe and be placed in next Friday's draw for the third and fourth rounds of the UEFA Cup. Each of these sides will be paired with a runner-up from one of the UEFA Cup groups with the country protection the only restriction.
