Ok, so we lost 6-3. And maybe it is the first time since (I think) 1943 that we've conceded six goals at anfield. But come on, if you insist on playing a half-strength side against an Arsenal youth side who are hungry for blood...come on Rafa, if you carry on like this, we will have to stop saying 'in rafa we trust'. change it to 'in rafa we trust to push us down down down the table...'.
If anyone can pull us out of this mess, it's the big man himself. Where are you Stevie?
of course you're not alone.
And at least now we're seeing more of the liverpool we know and love. 3-0, that's more like it. Quick as we can, we need dudek transferred. ok, he was good in the champs league final, but that was 2005. Its 2007, times move on.
Anyone got any comments on Dudek? Or Liverpool goalies in general (new signing on loan: Itlaian U23 Padelli....could be good news?)
i just think where would liverpool be now if gerrard didnt score against olympia*** during their matchday 6 encounter (CL campaign 04/05), had it ended 2-1 instead of 3-1 (gerrards 80th min strike), liverpool would have gone to UEFA Cup (and who would've thought they would win the CL that year) and woudlve missed out on CL profits.
Monaco 11pts
Liverpool 10pts
Olympia*** 10pts
Deportivo 2pts
WE BEAT CHELSEA!!!! 2-0. Due credit to Kuyt and Pennant for the goals, nice performances all round.Well done to Pennant for his first Kop goal... Petr Cech not making much difference then? I reckon he's a bit nervous about putting his all into dives, even if he holds back subconsciously....
thanks for that... Kop were asking about him for ages but couldnt get him cos of FIFA regulations: can only play for two competitive teams in one football season. they let him talk to Liveprool about a transfer because of a technicality. I knew they were talking, didnt know they had agreed. I reckon mascherano could be good for Kop.
2-1 West Ham. Just to confirm that we did actually deserve teh FA cup last year (though no one is allowed to mention either the Fa cup or Carling Cup of 2007

u already hav sissoko and alonso, so i dont know wat Rafa hopes to achieve as they'er both quality players............ unless hes thinkin off offloading 1....probs be sissoko, btw i think it'll take atleast until the mid of nxt season 4 him to fit into the prem properly
Sissoko's out for a while - popped his shoulder or something. Besides, you cant always rely on the same players: look at Henri, he took a month or so out because of being overplayed, so you need to have back up. Mascherano will show quality eventually, Im sure of it. he's an argentinian: I reckon the only reason he wasnt able to do well in WH was cause they weren't used to playing with such a quality player. At Liverpool tehre is plenty of quality for him to tag up with. Lets just hope it works out for him.
To Blood Money, I say this: We havent actually played Barca yet. I admit that the Spanish team are incredible, and yes we do all know that ronaldinho is legend, but hey, Southend beat Man U didnt they? Maybe, just maybe, if all the team are good and ready (I include Sissoko in this) we can show Ron's crew a bit of a fight....
Cyrus: Liverpool didnt want to CANCEL the DIC deal, they were forced to postpone it. As they had not yet publicly announced that DIC had officially bought the Club, they were forced to give the American man (Gilett I think) a full ten days to have a look at 'the books' (accounts and stuff at liverpool). So really, they didnt want to cancel DIC. Thing is, when DIC heard that Liverpool were slowing down on the takeover thing, the Sheikh dude got a bit angry (a lot angry, actually) and decided to withdraw. Sheikh would have been better for us: he was willing to invest in players. The American isnt as willing, I dont think.
Thats the story. Hope it's helpful
