What's happening in LFC is very sad & another bad example of bad/mad management.
Chasing dreams might cost you like it did to lots of team & for me it feels like us 5 years ago but liverpool can come out of it if the right decisions are done.

I think some sacrifices need to be made to save the club:
1- sell some players to pay of the debt (about 250m allegedly) & to cut down the huge yearly interest (that'll be 35m then). I'll sell (torres, kuyt, reira) & any other ones & that will help in 2 ways: money in + save the big wages.
2- Rafa, I like him but he wants more players, let him go and get someone who can build a team up, Roy?
3- local talent & young hungry blood, I see they have already did that this week, good start (Gerrers wount live forever).
4- fans need to stop dreaming & stand by their team (english problem in general, we are all the best fans in the world).
5- pittance. Owners need to trust the manager and let him work in peace.
6- its business. If you have money then buy, don't borrow money to buy players, ask (MU, pompey, newcastle, Leeds, Christal palace... Long list

Do that, they'll be ok.

Roy, you have raised some fantastic point, but selling Torres makes no sense..

One factor, is that Liverpools Academy coach has complained that not so many of the new generation of Liverpool talents are on a rise? Recently, you had Mellor, Warnock etc, but they never made the grade and left..

The likes of Fowler,Owen,Gerrard,Charragher.. the new blood of players are not there, and when you install so much foreigners in a side, you will lose the grit and passion..

I just think Liverpool are atleast four or five players of WORLD-CLASS calibre and quality.. They also need one or two squad players who don't mind being in the bench, but also are capable of putting a good performance..

If they do this, the consistency will come, however it will be a very,very long summer for Liverpool fans.

roy, that's why I think the new owners will play a huge role in future of the club.

now that the club is for sale, and will be sold in the next few months, if the club is sold to right owners, who can pay off the debt (so we don't have to pay 1M pound interest every 9 days), we can easily keep hold of our star players (Reina, Torres, Gerrard, Mascher) and invest in the squad which is 50M away from being a title challenging and world class squad.

new owners must be rich, I wish Broughton doesn't make the same mistake as Moores.

I am now almost 100% sure that Torres and Gerrard will both stay and want to stay and if something goes wrong and one is sold, it's because of those retards running our club and not them wanting out.
