Can't judge Torres after a single match (he's better than he showed today), but I did enjoy seeing him struggle, not going to lie.

Great result. Wouldn't have minded a result, but Chelsea not putting up any points after our slip up yesterday softens the very painful blow of losing at Wolves.

Interesting approach from both sides:

Chelsea - start with Torrres, tweak the system, and get away from what they know they are good at. Try and force Torres into a system, almost like a square peg into a round hole. No Malouda or Kalou; Anelka playing out of position despite the fact he was devastating against Sunderland.

Liverpool - go with what they know. Admittedly they've only played that system twice before this match but it's worked in both matches (Wolves and Stoke), and he used the players that he knew did well in that system (Kuyt). That meant leaving Suarez on the bench and not risking anything.

Ancelotti got emotional and started Torres. while Kalou was excellent vs Sunderland and he should not have changed a winning team, rather bring Torres later on.

Dalglish decided to think with his head and throwing Suarez into such a huge game, only after 6 week suspension and 20 minute in mid-week was a big risk.

Now he can make his first start vs Wigan at home which is a much more comfortable game. Everyone in our team was excellent except Maxi, special thought to Agger, Carra, and Kelly.

The owner had an interview a few days ago and he said, we put this as our principle that whatever we get for Torres, we spend -15 of it on Andy. If it's 40, We'll bid max 25M for Andy.

and he's like, Newcastle got hell of a deal congratz to them, but so did we and we were gonna bid for him in summer anyways .
