Can't believe how Liverpool fans have turned their backs on Torres couple of days after his switch. The forward who scored goals for fun in his first 2 seasons and the liv fans worshipped him, now he is wanted dead because the club was not going in the direction where Torres wanted to?

I admired him so much and I still like him as a player and am happy to see him score (but not against us), but I dont like torres as a human because he has dissappointed me due to being 2-faced in Liverpool interviews and in Chelsea interviews. Watch/read all his interviews say since august last year and ull know what i mean. and yesterday the storm being blown in his face was just what he deserved for the things which he had said.

Ali Jan, you can't trust what a foreigner says about the club. The likes of Ronaldo and Torres were great stars in the their respected clubs (man utd and liverpool), but always looked like leaving. It will be the same thing with Fabregas next year, despite the amount of times he 'kisses' the badge, has the captain armband, celebrates mad with fans etc..

Etoo did exactly the same when he was in Barca for far longer.
He moved to Inter and then celeberated like crazy when they made the final of CL in Camp nou, do you see any Barca fans cursing him or burning his shirt?

Eto'o was forced out by Pep, the opposite of forcing his way out (like Torres)

the ironic part is that "the I hate you so much ,because I loved you so much" comes from Barcelona fans and the Luis Figo saga. they still call him Judas to this day and burned his shirt and all that

I think Etoo was very important for Barca, he was always the hero after Ronaldinho and Messi (2009), Luis Figo's case is different, any player that moves from Barca to Real is dead for Barca fans.
you can't compare Barca-real rivalry and Liverpool-chelsea.
plus torres was only 2 and a half seasons with liverpool, Etoo was over 6 years in Barca.

yea we worshipped torres alright, commits to the club numerous times and even "3 WEEKS" before his transfer request (keep in mind he committed to the club at the beginning of the transfer window). liverpool fans arent pissed just because he left, its the manner in which he left that pissed us off. he was our star player, idolized by every single liverpool fan, one of our only assets, and he hands a transfer request 3 days before the end of the window. what kind of player does that??

torres is as injury prone as any player in any sport, inconsistent as any player in any sport, and cant even give a simple pass, but the man can finish and sometimes comes up with the most spectacular plays and goals around, and through all that liverpool fans never once criticized him, never ever doubted him, and supported him all the way through his low times at the club (beginning of this season, where he looked like he didnt even want to play).

like elnino said, he went to a rival in the same league. in one of his interviews he said "i will never play for another english team other than liverpool". rivalries are rivalries it doesn't matter what the teams are, and moving to a rival is the worst thing you can do, especially in the manner that torres did. any potential legendary status that torres had at liverpool is completely dead (and dont bullshit that liverpool hasnt won anything recently, to be considered a legend by the most successful english team of all time and by 5 time champions league winners is one of the greatest honours to receive). therefore a comparison with eto'o's situation is hilarious, figo's situation is a more reasonable comparison with torres. keep in mind torres was also a fan favourite like figo but scored WAY more goals for liverpool (in less apps) than figo did for barca

and you pulled your numbers out of ur ass or something, because torres played 3 and a half years for us not 2 and a half, and eto'o didnt play over 6 years for barca he played 5 years
