To the Man U fans that insist on invading and plaguing the thread ("Liverpool thread, for the fans"):
Even your wonderful coach alex furguson said that it was due to a stroke of luck that United managed to pull off the win, and that he believed that in that match, the better team lost.
Moving on, Rafa has said that even though he fielded a strong side against United rather than resting some of the key players ready for Barca, he wont be giving them three days light training and stuff - Liverpool players are working hard because Europe is so important to us (Rafa being spanish as he is...)

Team News ahead of Barcelona Match
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has no major injury worries with only long-term absentees Luis Garcia and Harry Kewell missing.

Peter Crouch has had no after-effects from the Manchester United game, in which he played with a broken nose.

Barcelona will have playmaker Deco and Lilian Thuram available after they were both rested for the game at Sevilla.

Samuel Eto'o, who missed the first leg through a protracted recovery from a knee injury, is also in the squad.

          Squads
Liverpool: Reina, Finnan, Arbeloa, Carragher, Agger, Hyypia, Riise, Aurelio, Pennant, Sissoko, Alonso, Gerrard, Gonzalez, Mascherano, Dudek, Crouch, Bellamy, Kuyt, Fowler.

Barcelona: Victor Valdes, Jorquera, Marquez, Zambrotta, Thuram, Puyol, Presas, Edmilson, Sylvinho, Giuly, Xavi, Iniesta, Eto'o, Messi, Ronaldinho, Deco, Gudjohnsen, Saviola.

          they have Eto'o back....

              Riijard attacks Rafa

What is this guy on about? maybe the pressure is getting to him.

Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard could not resist a sly dig at his Liverpool counterpart Rafael Benitez ahead of tonight's Champions League match at Anfield.

The European champions are aiming to overturn a 2-1 deficit and remain on course to retain the trophy.

Liverpool boss Benitez believes they will have to withstand a three-pronged attack featuring Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto'o.

Rijkaard, who refused to give any clues to the system he will employ, responded: 'It is great to play against a team whose manager already knows everything.

'Maybe it is his way of hiding any kind of anxiety he might have himself.

'The people who know everything and say they know everything are the ones who know the least amount.'

Barca need to win by 2 goals or their out.

and they are the only team on the planet currently capable of doing that to Liverpool at home.

I hope to see Ronaldinho at his best.

results with which barca will win:

                  2-0, 3-2, 4-3, 5-4, 6-5, etc... (because of the 'away goals' rule).

In short, Liverpool need a win or any of the following:
1-0 (barca win), or a draw.

2-1 and it goes extra time

PersianMadrid7, I also hope to see Ronaldinho at his best because he is such a talented player. But I also want Kop to silence him as much as possible - hopefully the fans will help!

Man...I have to admire the entire Liverpool defence...it was a compact and vigorous display that even held a side like Barca despite less possession but they played like an impenetrable last line of defence.
