The German side are looking for a left-sided player and the Dutch star could fit the bill.
Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted Robben was an option.
He said: "He is an interesting player, that every team would fear to face."
The Dutchman has two years left on his contract and has also attracted the interest of Real Madrid in the past.
Robben will return on Saturday against Wigan after a hamstring problem and the Latics will not be relishing facing him again as two days before Christmas, the Dutch winger hit a memorable stoppage-time winner to end his own 10-month scoring drought.
Robben said: "I had a good game up there and it was very frustrating for myself that I got injured just before Boxing Day because I felt in good form, so I just want to continue that - scoring goals and setting people up.
"That is why I was looking forward to the next game, then unfortunately out of nothing I just felt something in my hamstring - and it was terrible.'
"It is always difficult because they won't come to win the game. They will come to try to stop us so we will have to be on our toes and 100% concentrated. Just be very sharp.
"Last year at home it was tight and it is always a close game. They can be good, especially up front with Emile Heskey of course.
"He was really good against us in the last game and I'm sure he will be again."
