Eric Cantona got an EIGHT month ban for trying to attack a racist Crystal Palace fan with no injury sustained.

Joey Barton attacked, beat up his own team mate so bad had to go to the hospital for treatment and he essentially gets just a SIX game ban (hadly 1-2 months long) with 6 games suspended for next season.

The FA and their bollocks nonsense. Barton deserves a life-time ban for such disgrace and a proper prison sentence. He's a convict and a bully.

Ithink the FA got it 100% spot on this time. as when he did it he was at man city not Newcastle, so why should we pay for citys problems? he went to prison and missed half of last season too cuz of this. thank got its over.

As for Cantone, Watta dick, infront of 60.000 fans + the whole world on the news, i was so glad France never used him in 98 and won the worldcup without him.

Well he had already retired in 1997 and had already missed Euro 96 coz of that ban since Zidane had become France's main player in his absence...so I guess that's no regrets from Jacquet's part.

Just in the last hour or two. Terry Mcdermott has resigned too.
            He was Keegans assestant.

Dont worry, i've been folloing this team all my life, i have a feeling everything will be ok.
We have a good squad (small but good) and alot of clubs would dream of having players like Owen, Gutirrez, Martins, Colocini... so even with no manager these guys can handle pressure.

End of the day, i support Newcastle not Keegan (i say it with hurt) but day by day we are starting to live with it.

I just hope that DIG company from Dubai comes for the Toon.

I think Newcastle made a good decision buying Gutierrez, but I don't understand paying more than 20 Million for Coloccini an Argentinian defender. Coloccini reminds me of Puyol, he's one of the best, but until Newcastle build a solid midfield and attack with players for that kind of money they don't get anywhere.

20 million would have been better spent on a player like Benzema or Giovinco etc... if Newcastle wanted a quality defender close to the level of Coloccini for a lower price they should have scouted Italy or the Netherlands.

I predict Coloccini having maybe 1 or 2 bad seasons then moving out of the club.

                        Zico 'very interested' in Newcastle

Brazilian legend Zico has voiced interest in taking over as Newcastle coach, saying the job would be 'a privilege and an honor' for him.

"The Newcastle job is one that I would be very interested in taking. It would be a privilege and an honor," he told the Daily Mail.

"I've always wanted to experience the Premier League as I believe I could enjoy much success coaching in England."

Zico, who led Fenerbahce to the Champions League quarterfinals last season, has been out of work since leaving the Turkish club in June.

Kevin Keegan quit last week as Newcastle manager due to his differences with the club's board over transfer policies. He said the club signed players without his consent.

The 55-year-old Zico, however, said he would have no problem in cooperating with Newcastle's executive director of football Dennis Wise.

"I am used to working alongside technical directors so this isn't an issue for me. It's normal for me to work in those conditions."

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham's assistant manager Gus Poyet is Zico's rival for the post.

Poyet has a good relationship with Wise which increases his chances of joining the Magpies. Poyet was Wise's assistant manager at Leeds and Swindon. They were also teammates at Chelsea.

Aiii, he was one of the Entertainers in the 90s, he usedto have a leathel foot on him.
I get a DVD from amazon a while ago called Magpie Magic and there are loads of clips and goals of him on it.
At the time, we used to be the Arsenal of now (great football but without winning).
3weeks ago after the Manc game i thought these days might be back then all the shit happened. ooh, thats the Toon.

                            last chapter!!

                            Talking heads
Breaking news on SkySports News, Friday night:

Sky Sources: Kevin Keegan meeting Mike Ashley in London.

We have no idea whether this is accurate or if so, what the subject of the meeting is - a reconciliation or a contractual settlement.

                            The Chronicle added:

Ashley left the meeting tonight but refused to comment on the situation with Keegan believed to have left by the back door.

As for me, i got invited to a 3 cource meal in an executive box in St james park (if my mate doesent go 95%) for the Hull game that i hope is gonna be Keegans comeback, but sky just showed that the talks just failed!!!!

Crazy shit? only in the Toon.

Unfortunately for Heckle and Jecke, the talks were unsuccessful.

Just got back from the game.
This game today was the worst game i have ever seen newcastle play, looks like all the shit from last week got in to them.
I mean Hull was just as crap as we were (even worse till the penalty) and then while we tried to come back they hit us on the brake, we got one back but it was too late and our players had there heds down most of the game.

the 2 new players were ok xisco scored the goal and the other guy (cant remember his name but it sounds like mexican food) was not bad for someone who only met his team mates the night before.

Aaah, his name is Natchu . By the way our sick note for the day were (Martins, Duff, Baye, Jonas Gutierrez, Viduka & Jose Enrique + sospended Barton) i hate excuses but if we had a full team we would have had 7 points by now, but i'm happy to have the same points as the mancs for now.

What made me sad too was that West ham lost at home (from a new commer too) as they had the same problems but atleast they got a manager now!!.

Last not least, man of the match was the 52.000 + the ones outside all singing Ashley out and sack the board..... but supported the players all the way.

Wendsday we'll host spurs in the carling cup....... god help us.
