And you wonder why the mancs hate us? no one even in Europe did this to them (in the modern era-60s and after) as they used to be nothing before that and used to get thumped all the time.
Check the 5th goal, watta classic. inshalla Martins, Owen & the rest of the boys can bring some of these days back.

    Anyway, the good news.
    NUFC 2 - Spurs 1 (without Martins)
All i can say about the game is it was a proper premier league game, end to end football, i think Spures were by far better in the 1st half and missed 2 good chances.
In the 2nd half it was all black & white, Owen missed an easy chance to win it but JK did a magic sub and put Duff in who scores 1 minute later to send us 3 places up and only 4 points from Europe (were still 4 points from relegation by the way too) after man city lost again

Next game, Wigan away on boxing day 26th.
After that Liverpool at home on the 28th.
if we can get 4 points in those 2 games i'm sure we'll be in Europe next season.

              Oh well, wait n' see!

              Owen: no autographs
Despite optimistic noises from JFK in recent days about Michael Owen's long-term future, the player has moved to quosh speculation that he's about to put pen to paper:

"Following speculation about my future at Newcastle United, I have decided today to make it clear that I am committed to the club until at least the end of this season, and I have informed them I do not want to make a decision about my future until that time.
"I hope this will be seen as a positive step and not seen as being disloyal in any way.
"I am happy here and enjoy the challenge. It is simply a matter of seriously thinking about my future as I was 29 last week and my next career decision is a crucial one.
"My decision is not about money. I told the club some months ago that I would accept a reduction in my wages.
"I have no intention of leaving Newcastle United during the January transfer window and want to assure the fans that under Joe Kinnear's passionate management, I am committed with the rest of the players to ensure that the club ends the season on a high."

              Kinnear told the official website:

"Michael told me in person about his decision and I fully understand where he is coming from.

"We have a great relationship as captain and manager and that will certainly continue.

"He is focussed on scoring goals for Newcastle United and helping us keep progressing this season.

"Michael will consider his options in the summer but I am still optimistic that he will stay with us when it comes to making a decision.

In the meantime I have no doubts whatsoever that he will continue to give 100 per cent for Newcastle United.

"Having gone six games unbeaten we are a very happy camp at Newcastle United and Michael Owen plays a big part in that as skipper.

"I'm looking forward to him continuing to score goals for us as they will be crucial in what we do for the rest of the season."

              From www.nufc.com

I think he's just waiting for Liverpool to knock on his door, i feel for him, thats why i think he'll try to get a free transfer there at the end of the season as i'm sure they'll never wanna pay a lot of money for him (even if they did for shitty keane), i just hope he can atleast do this for the fans: score atleast 10 goals before he leaves.
Oh, one of my friends said to me: it might be europe what he wants, if we make europe then he migt stay!

We'll find out in may, case closed.

                  N'Zogbia Confirms Newcastle Quit Plans
The Frenchman wants to move his career to the next level, and wants out of St James' Park...

Newcastle United left-sider Charles N'Zogbia has comfirmed that he wants out of St James' Park, as clubs queue up to secure his signature.
The Frenchman has been on Tyneside since 2004, but has struggled to make himself a certain starter under a clutch of different managers.
The 22-year-old admits that he has grown frustrated with life in the north east, and has declared himself ready for the off.
Arsenal, Aston Villa and Paris St Germain are all credited with interest in the former Le Havre prospect, who could depart for pastures new as soon as January.
N'Zogbia told L'Equipe: "After four years at Newcastle, I want to reach a higher level of ambition. I don't think that is possible here.
"I have given my all to the club, and I will go on to do so as long as I play. But I would like to reach a new level by finding a new challenge at a new side."

Nzogbia should stay. He is a young talent for the future. He is good when he plays good. Another bad decision Newcastle are gonna make

I've got that top with WOR KEV "7" on it (WOR means our in Geordie slang), it's useles now as Keegan is gone so i'll just keep it till he comes back in 10 years.

As for charls N'zobia: if he wants to go the i think we should sell him, as we have more than 3 left sided players in the team (Duff & Jonas Gutierrez) the later is one of the best in the premier league at the moment (according to match of the day) even tho he's been playing on the right side since milner left.
Thats why i think is someone wants to leave Newcastle then let him go, you cant play someone who doesent wanna play for you.

We need a right winger (Aron Lennon?) and a playmaker (Geovani?).
