Newcastle came from behind to progress into the Third Round of the Carling Cup after an entertaining victory at St. James' Park.
Goals for Danny Guthrie, Geremi, Shola Ameobi and Kevin Nolan saw United through after Lee Clark's Huddersfield had taken a 3-1 lead two minutes after the break.
I was in the GYM with my headphones listning to the game, 7 kids started the game then we were down, then Ameobi & Guttierez came on and changed the game.
If you live in the UK then you can see the highlits on BBC1 at 11:15 tonight (thats in 15 minutes).
Yalla.

We did it, 1-0 against Leicseter tonight took us to top of the league with 13points from 5 games, 4 wins & clean sheets in a row.
Other news, Coloccini got picked by maradona for argentina for their worldcup qualifiers this week and didnt play today as they'll play on wednsday night.
Tomorow is the transfer deadline, i hope we dont lose anymore players.

Its all over, the transfer that is, while most of you are hoping for new players for Chelsea, liverpool, this and that etc... im just hoping to keep whatever is left from our squad to bring us straight back up.
And despite numerous scare stories, there proved to be no further first team squad departures, with messrs Carroll, Nolan, Barton, Coloccini, Gutierrez, Geremi, Butt, Krul, Enrique and Steven Taylor all gonna stay atleast till january.
Add to them Peter Lovenkrands who just at 4:45pm signed a three-year contract.
The good thing about it is we can sign any player we want now on loan, we have till november to do it so looks like everything is going well (championship rules).
I'm not big headed, but from what i've seen so far we should crouise this league (a bit like chelsea in the prem). i mean 4 clean sheets in a raw? this is newcastle, we never keep clean sheets.

btw i know why we are doing so well but im not gonna say it cause i might jinks it
Mate, all this paper stuff is bullshit.
The only way to get proper Newcastle News is from nufc.com or skysports.com , the media hates newcastle, i dont know why? i think it might be the support the team gets that pisses them off, we still average 40.000 a game in the 2nd devision. WATTA CLUB

Cardiff City 0 - 1 Newcastle United
CARDIFF City failed to break down Newcastle United's watertight defence in front of almost 26,000 spectators at their new stadium.
Newcastle kept a fifth successive League clean sheet and have not conceded a goal in seven and a half hours football. They are back top of the Coca-Cola Championship, having been temporarily toppled by West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The Bluebirds had a glorious chance during second half injury time when Newcastle's Alan Smith was sent off for a foul on Jay Bothroyd, resulting in a second booking. The free-kick was on the edge of the penalty area, but Michael Chopra's shot was blocked.
City created a series of half chances over the 90 minutes, but Newcastle's quality shone through as City's unbeaten home record in their new stadium came to an end.
Newcastle took the lead after 18 minutes when Ryan Taylor's corner from their right was only half cleared.
The ball was prodded back out to Taylor, whose cross picked out centre-back Fabricio Coloccini just outside the six-year box.
Coloccini threw himself at the cross and headed into the corner past keeper David Marshall.
The Bluebirds created a series of half chances during the opening period and the best fell to Gavin Rae. Joe Ledley's deft chipped arced over the Newcastle defence and picked out Michael Chopra's run. His first time low cross was met by Rae in the middle, but his shot under pressure flew over the bar.
Newcastle, stringing five across midfield, had two players, Jose Dias and Danny Guthrie, booked during the first half for fouls.
It was a tight, nervy opening period in which Jay Bothroyd and Chopra used scraps of possession well. Bothroyd, in particular, won a lot of free-kicks as Newcastle defenders tried to stop his work.
City started the second-half brightly, while Newcastle made a change after 61 minutes when Peter Lovenkrands took over from Guthrie in midfield.
Alan Smith became the third Newcastle player cautioned, again for a foul, and the Cardiff City made their first substitution after 68 minutes with Kelvin Etuhu taking over from Peter Whittingham. Etuhu made an immediate impression with a strong run and low cross which was cut out before it could reach Chopra.
Nicky Butt then took over from Ryan Taylor as Newcastle worked to hang on to their lead, but they had Smith sent off after 90 minutes when he fouled Bothroyd and was cautioned for a second time.
Dave Jones reaction:
"I think the referee has missed a golden stone-wall penalty where a shot has gone in on target and Taylor has slid in and it's hit his arm.
"And the officials have to look at this, in such a high-profile game, and ask were they up for it. When they've missed the penalty that they've missed I don't think they were.
"People talk about players and our behaviour because of our standing in the game - but referees are professionals as well and when you're in such a high profile game they've got to be up to the level. I don't think they were today."
