I would chose the likes of Maradona as the top of the pile for just that, being an inspiration to a small team and making them champions, rather than being part of an already successful side and doing their bit with other fellow players to win trophy after trophy.
Then again, I originally said that comparing Pele and Maradona is unjust as they played in two distinct eras and were champions in their own rights. Such is the case with Maradona and Zidane, again players of two separate eras. Its difficult to compare players of different generations.
    That said Zidane >>>> Ronaldo
Brother.....Its not like ZZ was on the outs***ts of the team and let them carry him along. He was the outstanding player wherever he went.

Just look at the goals he scored. That volley in the CL final, his 2 goals in the World Cup final.

What is the diff between ZZ and the rest?? Whereas most great players look like they are faster then everyone around them. ZZ made it look like everyone around him was in slow motion and he was real time. It was truly amazing to watch.

ZZ was a midfielder and yet he still scored the most important goals in a game and at the same time dictating the tempo of the game as though he owned it.

Im so proud to have been a witness to his career.

Each player in a different generation. You can't compare eachother.
