Raul is a heck of a player. I have a lot of respect for this guy.

Those were the days...then Perez decided to let go of Del Bosque and Hierro, and Real Madrid has become the mega-rich laughing stock..no trophy since 2003 and all those sackings...

I would probably call Raul the best striker/forward in Spain and Real Madrid of the past decade and I still feel it holds truth even today. When him and Morientes played together, Real were THE team to beat in Spain and Europe.

No disrespect to Ronaldo but Raul/Morientes were THE pair.

yup... now look at their situations.

Morientes was loaned to Monaco, where he scored a goal against us to eliminate us from the Champions League which was embarrassing. then he went to Liverpool where he bombed, and now to Valencia where he is currently a top scorer in the Champions League. And now Raul is struggling to regain form and is scoring goals as usual but not at his best.

                          Blood Money,
We have the talent now to repeat those glory days, but I think we need a stronger mid-field and also a little in the defense. Canavarro for some reasons is not even performing at 50% of how he was playing during the WC last year.

                          Viva,

Wow, we agreed on one thing this year!!
