He is so overrated. Here are players better than him: Gerrard, Lampard, Essien, Pirlo, Gattuso, Perrotta, Viera, Mashcerano must I go on ?

But it is waaaaaaaaaay to early to be putting him in the league of players like Vieira, Lampard, Gerrard and Pirlo.
Also...Van Bommel is actually a great player and he is much better then Mascherano is at this point in time.

vam bommel isnt over rated...

even though he hasnt been able to fill the void left by ballack at bayern, he still has done a great job in giving some life to the bayern midfield to a huge extent.

he has good stamina and covers a lot of ground, he has good shots which can always be a threat to the opponent, he is a good leader and he has good vision and passing.
however, his constant "hashiesazi" is a big negative point on him.

he will be greatly missed by bayern in the 2 games against milan.
