7 Months? I wonder how much Adriano was suspended for his double fist punch? A couple games at most? Still Navarro can't complain, he did something very stupid, and 7 months might set the precedent. I wonder what the suspension would've been if Burdisso didn't get his nose broken, maybe cut in half.

Not really comparable to what happened this season but that was quite vicious.

it was viscous you're right. But he was basically being harassed and then slapped, making the retaliation punch as self defense.

I don't think any player would do nothing after having their shirt pulled embarrassingly and then SLAPPED to top it off.

Thats why I said its not comparable, but still very vicious, and thats not really justifiable under self defense in my mind. But it shows Inter-Valencia thing runs deep. That said, even though I hate Adriano, that was the best punch I've seen in football. Very aesthetically pleasing add to that Caniera is Portugese, that much sweeter.

If they meet again next year, that'll be a headliner for sure.

A few seasons (2002/03) back Inter and Valencia played each other in champions league and I remember Emre and a Valencia player being sentoff after a fight.

This punishment is ridicilious. He wasn't even banned for any European games. While Burdisso, Maicon, Cordaba will all miss games in next years European season. This idiot will be free to play because he is only banned for 7 months.
