    manu/roma

    chelsea/valencia------winner plays the winner of game 4

    I hope Bayern does but I have a strong feeling that Manchester United will do it. I't horrendous to see that teams such as Roma, PSV, Valencia and Chelsea are still in the competition. Too bad Inter, Barca and Arsenal messed up .

      I hope Bayern does too, but i just can't see them do it against teams with a budget as almost twice them like Chelsea or Manu.
      I think Manu winning it or not, will come down to how fast they can rap-up the EPL, however, if the EPL race goes into the last few weeks, I think either chelsea or Manu will be sacrifiesed on the CL part,,,considering they are both still in the FA cup and have replays of 1/4 round still left! that's just too many matches for any team to play.
      i would probably put them in this order of winning chance;

      manu/chelsea/Ac milan/liverpool/bayern/valencia, roma, PSV/

        Actually Bayern does not have a bad financial situation themselves either. We saw how well they did against Madrid last week despite not having as many galacticos (or potential galacticos) in their team.
        Bayern's strategy has never been to buy players such as Beckham, Ibrahimovic or Ronaldinho. The interesting thing is that they still have been very successful. Their main priority seems to be to sweep the German transfer market before turning to the rest of Europe. Of course there are exceptions...

          of course you are right, bayern has never and almost never relied on the so called star players, and if they have had them, they were germans moslty grown with bayern such as beckebuer, or even lately balack which came from leverkuzen when he was only 23,,,,and true that bayern's finacial sitution is good, but when you compare them with the 3 of the richest sport clubs in the world, milan, chelsea and manu, we are underdogs.

          I guess as long as bayern can some how take care of milan, anything is possible after that, even though it is not going to get any easier against the potential semi-finalist, manu.

              I never said that Inter barca and Arsenal are better, but they are more powerful and more influental.

              These clubs are more influental in European football. Barca and Arsenal faced eachother in the final game last year and Inter has been in an outstanding form this season (and yes I am aware of the fact that Juventus plays in Serie B this year).

              I have the utmost respect for Roma, Psv and Valencia, but I personally don't believe that they are of the same calibre as the earlier mentioned clubs. Arsenal and Barca have been weak this season but they are still bigger and more influental that PSV for instance. It is as if Angola would make it to the quarter finals in the World Cup. Would you have wanted them to win the World Cup ?

                I think Roma know the league is done for them. Second place will be what they're shooting for. That said I think their #1 priority will be CL, so I expect them to do well and get by MAN U. I'm hoping its a Roma-Valencia final...if one of them don't win it's going to be the team that beats them, either Chelsea or united. I don't think Liverpool can hang in there now.

                  It's basically up to the Roma - Man Utd game.

                      I'd love to watch Roma-Manchester.

                      Did you know that Seer Fergoozen deliberately dropped Totti's name when he was asked who the most influential Roma players are?!

                      And Spaletti responded that "Sir Alex will get to know Totti on the pitch!"

                      Totti will stiffen them.... (be sikh mikeshateshoon!)
