awww commonn jupp how has he been any worse than van buyten or badstuber? i have watched almsot every bayern game this season

now im expecting to see van buyten start against man city and silva and aguero outpace him while running backwards!

but on a serious note, Bayern today was able to completely take out Man City's middle field out of the game and we did very well up front scoring 2 goals sending the English back home with no points.

No room for complacency however. Much is to be achieved this season but potentially we showed that we can be in Munich comes May 2012, with little bit of luck of course

nice win, first 20 minutes was worry some but we got in the game in the time

cant believe schweini, muller and gomez all missed a tap-in in the same game. it could have easily been 5-0 without considering any of the other half chances!

the only thing i felt we should have done better this game was the pressing. we let them have ball possession for too long, specially in first half.
second half they were toothless and we werent bothered to attack anymore, just control the game.

i was glad we didnt bring robben earlier in the game, let him get fully fit and not rush him too early although getting him in the 80th min or something is wat i would do, just so that robben wouldnt feel he was being subbed in the 90th min only for time wasting.

next game is napoli in italy, could be very tricky, although apparently their star striker cavani was injured last night.
nevertheless, they are a very good counter-attacking team and we should be careful not to fall in their trap.

On a side note I'm liking what I see from Gustavo, he made two bad mistakes but I believe those will be reduced by a great deal after a few more intense CL games. He got potential for sure which makes me hopeful for a great up and coming DM, god knows we had not had a good one for ages.

i agree, luiz gustavo played well and is showing great development. kroos was weak yesterday, rafinha should have been better as well.

I disagree about Rafinha yashar. I thought he did well, specially defensively he had that side closed down!
Overall we didn't have a bad player on the field but at this stage, there is always room for getting better since there are some great teams in this competition we will have to face.
