Jupp Heynckes, who has been appointed head coach at Bayern until the end of the season, is a familiar face at the Munich club.

The FC Bayern Munich board of directors has appointed Jupp Heynckes as head coach and Hermann Gerland as his assistant, to take charge of the first team until the end of the season.

another 3 points, barely, but we'll take it...4 games left and we have got to win all 4 in order to retain the cup, I can't see Wolsburg lose more than 4 points in the last 4 games...so we have got to win all the remaining matches I would think...hard task on hand.

martin jol is one of the choices, not bad... i prefer louis van gaal though. but he is still under contract inspite of himself officially saying he would like to coach bayern.

today hertha and hamburg play each other and both are breathing down our necks.
i hope they draw, so we can still retain our 2nd position in the bundesliga and have to just worry about wolfsburg, otherwise its gonna be very difficult 4 weeks for us involving a lot of luck!

bayern did very well last year, won the domestic double and went to semis of UCL with Hitzfield as the coach only losing to eventual champions ac milan.
i dont follow bayern and german football closely but why did he leave anyway?and why dont bayern get him back for next season?

hitzfeld accepted the switzerland national teams job, so he left bayern and is not returning.

we did well under magath as well, atleast the first season where we won both bundesliga and pokal cup if i remember correctly and got knocked out by a star studded chelsea 6-5 on aggregate (we lost 4-2 at stamford bridge and won 3-2 in munich)

but then, next year, we missed out on CL and magath was fired.

now magath's wolfsburg is leading the bundesliga and is 3 points ahead of bayern.

so hitzfeld wont return cos his swiss national coach, but magath i dont know if we will approach him or not.

prolly not...I think Bayern a fresh ideology on the bench...

no title this season might be a harsh reality we have to deal with, but Bayern has proven to be the team of the last few weeks...let's hope we are on a high and wolfsburg feels the stress and underperforms.

klose, toni, lucio, van bommel, ze roberto are all over 30!
demichellis is 28 and olic is 29!
