wow!! i cant believe with such a tokhmi defense, we have made it to the semis!! and we have a chance to even make it to the finals, and maybe even win it (if inter manages to knock out barca )
wouldnt that be a miracle??? hahaha!!
its a pity we have this opportunity but our defense is so unreliable! if only we had lucio and ze roberto (he can play LB!)
ofcourse, it takes a lot of heart, hard work and courage to continue fighting on 3 fronts under so much pressure and half the time, having to make comebacks while trailing behind!
i think van gaal plays a role in this and ofcourse the role of olic, robben and others cant be ignored!
almost all our starting 11 are irreplaceable and we should be very careful not to lose any of them due to suspensions or injuries.
butt we cant lose cos rensing has been so much of a disaapointment
van buyten/demichellis/badstuber/lahm not because they have been great, but because we got no replacements on the bench
van bommel/schweini cos they dictate the midfield and they help keep possession. infact, i think the role of these 2 is not given enough credit with all the hard work olic and shining of robben. next game we are missing van bommel, i hope we can keep possession. van bommel have such high work rate, are real fighters and at the same time, have such accurate passing and ball possession that they make sure our team maintains it momentum and build its attack.
ribery and specially robben also we cant lose.
same with olic.
the only position we can afford to make some changes is the center forward partnering olic although i think gomez is much more effective than klose and muller upfront.
masoud kachal, even the bayern management had mentioned anything more than a quarter finals this season is a bonus! we were lucky we never came cross any speedy teams so far. juventus, fiorentina and the 1st leg of man utd were all physical/experienced but slow teams and we survived.
just 45 minutes of a speedy man utd in the return leg and we were getting crushed. second half they got a red card in the beginning itself and man utd had to go pull back again.
thats why i really hope if we do manage to over come lyon who themselves are quite a fast team, i really think we have a chance to win it all if we face inter cos inter too is too physical and not a very creative team besides sneijder. ofcourse, breaking down their defense will be difficult but hey, we got some players for that. even then, we will be the under dogs, but first things first, lets pass lyon!
we are missing van bommel and badstuber in the first game at allianz arena,
so probably its gonna be schweini and pranjic in the middle although i prefer tymoschuk cos both schweini and pranjic have attacking tendencies and that will leave the center of our midfield vulnerable.
left back will probably be contento who is inexperienced but energetic.
all this is assuming noone will get suspended or injured
all this aside, bayern management and specially van gaal should realize inspite of his great performance he can still improve and one thing is we REALLYYYY need to solidify our back line. demichellis has become so weak its unbelievable, van buyten too clumsy and slow, badstuber also slow and more importantly inexperienced but still a good talent.
we really miss lucio
and ofcourse a great GK, hugo lloris of lyon or igor akinveev of CSKA are both very good GKs! thats if we are able to retain the current squad! the likes of klose, van bommel and olic are getting old and we can use them only for a few years!
btw, has anyone noticed since the group stages, every round we have been playing at allianz arena in the 1st leg but away on the second leg which is a disadvantage more than an advantage!

u mean neurer?? well we are trying but i think schalke dont want to let him go, specially with them being in champions league next year and if magath remains their coach, i doubt he would let him go.
adler of leverkusen is more probable of coming although leverkusen themselves still have a chance of playing in CL as well next year, so they might be a bit reluctant to let him go, but lets see..

we have been linked with so many GKs this past 1 or 2 years its become a joke now.
buffon, frey, kameni, neurer, adler....

but neurer and adler are quite young and need more experienced. besides, i am against the idea of buying the budnesliga talents. bayern management should try and buy talents from other leagues and leave the bundesliga talents to other german teams so they can also develop and compete better in europe! if we want budnesliga to develop, we should allow the other german teams to keep their talents and build on their squad. although i must say, masout ozil of bremen can be a very good replacement for ribery in our LM and rafinha from schalke for our RB (move lahm back to LB) is very tempting

if we manage to keep ribery and the current squad, we can spend on our defense exclusively this year, we resigned butt for another year but we still should get another GK preferably lloris or akinveev. frey is too expensive and is a bit old otherwise he would be good too.

we will probably sell toni to roma and make some money on him, although i am not sure when his contract ends. or we may trade him for someone like perota or de rossi. there were talks about trading toni for vucinic but i doubt roma will agree. i actually wouldnt even mind riise. we desperately need a LB

or we may sell ribery and get 2 3 players for his price. if we sell him to barca, maybe we can get marquez from barca and yahya toure...
otherwise sell ribery to madrid and get benzema + cash from them. then get toulalan and if possible cris from lyon, bosingwa from chelsea and if possible either alex or carvalho also from them..


try to get bisingwa from chelsea and move lahm back to LB position..

sell demichellis and tymoschuk...

thanks armin, on paper we have the easiest opponents but with 2 more matches in CL and a finals match in pokal cup, we are going to have a very tight and exhausting schedule.
this is the only week our players get to play 1 game in a week which we played with leverkusen already

Approach should be the traditional one-game-at-a-time-each-game-is-a-final approach from here on, and I'll say the cup and the league are in a very realistic distance away.
