I dont think that deserved more than one match.

I think sending-off for dangerous challenges deserve more than one match. Two bookable offences that get you a red deserve one match, and being last man deserve one match too (3 match harsh)

Thats my opinion.

To the people who said it was well deserved .. please show me one incident (ONLY ONE WOULD BE ENOUGH) in recent years that a player was suspended 3 matches by UEFA in Champions League for dangrous tackle..

Let me give you even worse incidents happened:

Drogba was suspended only for 2 matches for kicking Inter's defender, though he had a warning from UEFA for previous incident, so he was suspended 1 match for the tackle, and one match because he had a warning before.

And also if you have seen Lyon vs Real Madrid, a player from Lyon have tackled Ronaldo even worse than Ribery's move, but nothing against him.

To be fair, UEFA should have suspended Ribery one match, and warm him that he will get +2 matches suspension if his behavior repeats.

I hope the appeal will have different opinion, even Lisandro confessed that both him and Ribery were jumping on the ball...
