Went to an Irish bar with a handful of friends to watch this game. Im a fan of neither team, but boy what a game. Everybody went ecstatic when Pandev scored that last goal. I honestly thought Inter had no chance after Bayern scored their second.

There's a saying that if you don't score, you will get scored on. Today, Bayern didn't capitalize on their many opportunities and Inter made them pay.

true, in these 2 games against inter, we hit the post around 3 to 4 times alone, and this is not counting the 1 on 1s we missed like ribery and robben.

its a pity bayern got so over confident and passive in the last half an hour. we stopped attacking, we stopped running and we conceded 2 goals. inter showed more heart and determination and didnt give up, and although i think bayern were the better team, inter deserved this.

i think by now, bayern management and even van gaal himself know how stupid it was of them not to reinforce the team this summer, specially in defense. its a pity it had to finish this way, had van gaal been a bit more down to earth and wise and reinforced our defense beginning of the year, we probably had a much better position in bundesliga, pokal cup and CL.

now we will see lots of money spent this season, but
1) there arent a lot of top quality candidates avaialable at the moment
2) we will lose van gaal and probably juup heynkes will come back who i rate lower than van gaal.

yep now days u just cant afford to play defense to hold the score line, even the best teams mess that up, its very rare that a team can hold it up, like inter did in 2nd leg of barca game last year. unfortunately the CL rules force teams and coaches to settle for certain score lines rather than just playing the game.
