league cup preseason tourny starts this weekend and a good chance for a real challenge before the season...I always thoght this is a good tournament for bayern and other teams to get some last min games as preprations...

too bad its going to be preaseason when these guys have not yet fully coped up and the transfers have just been done otherwise if it was mid season or end of the season or end of half season, the match would be much more entertaining for sure.

i think most of us here are in our late 20s or are approaching,,,I did not see the game you are talking about tho, if I remember correctly there were barely any European games broadcated back then, only the finals and with some delay unless it was the euro championship.

borowski scored in the 9th minute but schweinsteiger, altintop and ribery scored in the first half. then klose won a penalty and ribery scored the 4th.

later hitzfeld subbed out schweinsteiger, van bommel and ribery for lell and ottl and one more guy.

They showed the important games and ofcourse all the goals and highlights were also being shown on akhbar varzeshi. Yeah actually I remmeber back then there was no internet so for us to know the results we had to call keyhan varzeshi in the morning and ask for the results on the phone!! Boy was I a teenager in the wrong era or what??
