The La Liga midtable sides are clearly superior to Englands...
Zaragoza, Atletico, Osasuna, Espanyol, Villarreal
As I said, the players that were involved in NASL were mostly English/Scottish and a few Dutch players.
There was hardly any prominent Spaniard or Italian playing there at that time - still in La Liga and Serie A, whilst almost all proper West German players were still in Bundesliga. Maybe it was the way clubs in Italy, Spain, West Germany were being managed that made them come near but get knocked out.
What I can say is that the club situations in Italy and Spain were pretty unstable and despite the talent they still possessed - which didnt go to NASL - they couldnt be a team. On the other hand we had Bob Paisley and Brian Clough leading the way for Forest and 'pool. These two can be classed as the most tactical English managers you will be able to find in history, and that couldnt be reciprocated into the players' national sides of England, Scotland and Ireland.
You did prove my point that European football was at its weakest during England's dominance of European football during the late 70s and early 80s. So I will leave it at that. I mean European football was so weak. Not one truly great great player played in that era besides a couple in Rummenigge and Platini really. That sums it all up really.
Yeah this is whats making it hard to choose for me.EPL's top four ,i think, are stronger than La ligas' but im not sure about mid table and bottom teams.its very hard to tell.

Faraz jaan I'm sorry but I have to lol with your list of the traditionally top teams!
Villareal and Bolton have no tradition! They've only been good in the last few years. Celta Vigo, Bilbao and Sociedad have been far bigger teams traditionally as have Aston Villa and Everton in England.

by tradiationally i don't mean 20 years ago lol...i mean the last couple of years...i don't know too much about the history of standings in the EPL or La liga...but the last couple of years, those teams have excelled...how did i know someone would try to be smart and correct the list?
