C.Ronaldo is better in another aspect too.
    ACTING!

He makes a good holloywood kotak khor, always diving and stimluating injury and that he got hit so bad.

haha...yeah, he does to tend to overexaggerate, buuuuut, he's gotten MUCH better at holding his ground and not falling over as of late - plus, the thing is, the majority of the time, it actually IS a foul when he "dives" - but if he doesn't go to ground, the ref won't call it

He was a sneaky bastard when he first came to Old Trafford...the maverick talent who fell a bit too easily to win his side the advantage of a penalty or a freekick. But given the fact he has faced loads of criticism from the press, opponents and that esp. after the World Cup he has matured and has realised what should be done on the pitch. Many times he doesnt even fall when he is fouled he keeps on going. That is one reason why Ronaldo is perhaps the best player in Europe today (arguably) because of the lessons he has learned and the maturity he has showcased.

I mean c'mon guys, he's only 22...we all know the antics of his more mature opponents in Drogba and Robben etc

well said - mind u, i believe ronaldo to be the best player in the world currently...i can't think of anyone who has the impact he has on the pitch...not a single person...and credit to man u for scouting him out, he is truly great to watch, and can take on ANYONE with ease...i can't believe how fast he accelerates

Bear in mind Ronaldo was already doing crazy step-overs for Sporting, and it was only when United lost to Sporting in a friendly in mid-2003 and the way an 18 year old Ronaldo played in that game had the entire United dressing room talking that Ferguson decided to buy him there and then...and mind you he didnt come cheap although he was still an unknown outside Portugal.

The best part is that the way Sir Alex and Queiroz have groomed the kid. Keeping him safe from too much media spotlight and ill-discipline, encouraging his good skills yet breaking down his antics and apparent showboating selfishness in typical calculated yet hair-dryer style a-la Fergie. The development of youth as well as shrewd buyings has been the key success points of Man United during the 1990s and this hasnt left Ferguson still.

I guess the turning point came when the World Cup was over...that transformed Ronaldo to what he is today...from super-villain to super-hero (although he is still hated by many outside the red half of Manchester...meh)

the bottom line is Gourcuff has a lot to prove still.

C.Ronaldo has already proven himself, and still has more to offer.
