Easy Mexico is better. Turkey didn't even make it to the WC in Germany, and Mex lost 2-1 to Argentina in the 2nd round.

Anyways come on guys Mexico is a better team than Turkey. Sure they lost to USA 2-0 in their last match but everyone has a down game. Heck we lose to crapy Persian Gulf teams all the time like Qatar, so Mexico is allowed to have a bad game here and there.

Now that a lot of their players are in Europe I think Mexico is going to improve. Yes FIFA always rates Mexico and USA high but does anyone actually think the fifa rankings are legitimate? At one point USA was like ranked 5th in the world right before the world cup. YA RIGHT FIFTH IN THE WORLD! So don't pay attention to the Fifa rankins. Actually the more accurat ranking system I like to use is the ELO system.

Ya they got defeated by some small country which was really embarassing. Meanwhile their "best buddies" the Greeks won Euro 2004. When Greece won Euro 04 I was like WTF is goign on here?

The only thing I'll give Turkey is that they play much tougher teams because playing in UEFA is different than playing in CONCAF. Concaf has basically Mexico, USA, and a bunch of scrubs. Don't give me that bs that Honduras, Costa Rica, and Guatemala are good teams. So in that respect Mexico is able to qualify easily because of the level of competiton.

Turkey on the other hand plays in Europe and going up against teams like the Italians, the Germans, the French, the English etc is a lot harder than Guatemala.

Totally classless if you ask me. They should of been further punished for that and you knoe if Iran ever did something like that we would probably have like a 6 month ban.

If I remember correctly they lost to some loser team in Euro2004 and didn't qualify. I think it was someone like Lichestein or Luxemburg(sp?) something like that.
